As part of our expansion, our media team in the US is growing fast and we need super stars to
help us grow and deliver great media plans, and best-in-class service for our clients
Role
The Media Account Manager plays a central role in turning client objectives into effective paid
- media campaigns and ensuring those campaigns are delivered successfully from brief through
- to reporting and optimization.
You will support the day-to-day of client relationships and media activity, working with the
wider team to meet client marketing and business objectives - translating these into clear media
recommendations and direction for the activation teams.
This is both a client-facing and hands-on media role. You’ll be expected to understand the detail
- of the campaigns you manage (direct buys) while also seeing the bigger picture, helping to
- coordinate activity being managed by our activation teams. You’ll have the opportunity to
interrogate briefs, identify opportunities to improve performance, and ultimately help clients
make better marketing decisions.
You’ll also play an important role in developing more junior members of the team and creating a
collaborative, proactive account culture.
Skills
- You’ll ideally bring:
- Strong knowledge of paid media and an understanding of how different channels can
work together within an integrated media plan.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn campaign data into insights and actionable
recommendations.
- The ability to understand a client's marketing objectives and connect media
recommendations and performance back to their wider business goals.
- Confidence managing day-to-day client communications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present
recommendations clearly and credibly.
- Excellent organization and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate
multiple campaigns, stakeholders and deadlines.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach to campaign challenges and client needs.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of the financial considerations involved in
managing media accounts.
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining sight of broader client objectives.
- Curiosity about the changing media and B2B marketing landscape and an interest in
bringing new ideas to clients.
- The confidence to constructively challenge a brief or existing approach when there is a
better solution.
- A collaborative style and the ability to support and develop junior colleagues (Account
Executives and Senior Account Executives).
- Adaptability, initiative and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-moving
environment.
Responsibilities
- Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a key day-to-day contact for clients and building trusted relationships through
responsive, knowledgeable and proactive account management.
- Developing a strong understanding of clients' businesses, audiences, products,
competitors and marketing objectives.
- Interrogating client briefs, asking the right questions and helping translate business and
marketing objectives into effective media recommendations.
- Leading the development of multi-channel media plans, working with specialist teams
and senior colleagues where appropriate.
- Evaluating media opportunities and recommending the channels, partners, audiences
and approaches most appropriate to the brief.
- Clearly communicating media recommendations and the rationale behind them to
clients and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinating campaign activation across internal teams, clients, media partners and
other stakeholders to ensure campaigns launch accurately and on time.
- Maintaining a clear view of campaign delivery, budget and performance and proactively
addressing issues before they affect client outcomes.
- Identifying and driving optimization opportunities based on campaign data, audience
insights and wider client objectives.
- Ensuring reporting goes beyond campaign metrics to explain what performance means,
what has been learned and what action should be taken next.
- Contributing insight and recommendations to client reviews, QBRs and wider strategic
conversations.
- Working with analytics and technology teams to resolve reporting challenges and
improve the quality and usefulness of campaign measurement.
- Managing the day-to-day financial processes for assigned accounts, including budgets,
forecasts, bookings and billing, in partnership with the wider team.
- Managing client and media partner expectations and handling day-to-day issues
confidently, escalating appropriately when needed.
- Delegating effectively to Account Executives and other junior team members, helping
them prioritize their work and supporting their development.
