- We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Electrical Account Manager to
- join our team Downtown Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for
- developing and maintaining strong relationships with electrical contractors,
- distributors, manufacturers, builders, and other key customers while identifying
- opportunities to grow sales and expand our customer base.
- The Electrical Account Manager will play a key role in driving business
- development by understanding customer needs, providing technical and product
- support, identifying new opportunities, and delivering solutions that align with
- customer requirements. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong
- understanding of electrical products and applications, excellent communication
- skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer
- relationships.

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with electrical
- contractors, distributors, manufacturers, builders, consultants, and other
- key customers.
- Prospect and identify new customers and business opportunities within the
electrical market.
- Grow sales and market share by promoting electrical products, solutions, and
services that meet customer requirements.
- Understand customer needs and provide appropriate technical, product, and
application support.
- Develop and maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately track
opportunities, activities, and projected sales.
- Conduct regular customer meetings and site visits to understand project
requirements, identify opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships.
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals, product information, and sales
presentations as required.
- Collaborate with internal teams, manufacturers, suppliers, and technical
- specialists to develop solutions and respond effectively to customer
- requirements.
- Stay current with electrical products, technologies, applications, industry
trends, and competitive offerings.
- Identify upcoming construction projects and opportunities and develop
strategies to secure new business.
- Work closely with customers to understand project specifications, schedules,
budgets, and purchasing requirements.
- Provide ongoing customer support throughout the sales process and ensure a
high level of customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements while maintaining company objectives
and profitability.
- Follow up on quotations, proposals, orders, and customer inquiries in a
timely and professional manner.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and networking
opportunities to develop new business relationships.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer expectations are
clearly communicated and successfully supported.
- Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and sales information within the CRM
system.
- Achieve established sales, revenue, and business development targets.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Development, Account Management,
Outside Sales, or a related sales role.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within the electrical, construction,
building services, or related industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical products, systems, applications, and
industry practices.
- Experience working with electrical contractors, distributors, manufacturers,
- builders, consultants, or other construction industry stakeholders is an
- asset.
- Proven track record of developing new business and maintaining long-term
customer relationships.
- Strong sales and business development skills with the ability to identify
opportunities and convert them into successful business relationships.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate
technical and product solutions.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers,
vendors, manufacturers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Strong understanding of customer buying behaviours and the ability to
effectively engage and influence key decision-makers.
- Results-oriented individual with strong organizational and time-management
skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal
teams and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify customer needs and
develop practical solutions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Ability and willingness to travel to customer, project, and job-site
locations as required.
- Committed team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a
customer-focused approach.
- Self-motivated, professional, and driven to achieve and exceed sales
objectives.
- This is a new role, and the targeted compensation range will be within the range
- of $100,000 to $125,000 depending on experience.
