Brandt Corporate Services Ltd is currently seeking an Accountant for our Calgary

location.

  • The Accountant is responsible for preparing and posting journal entries,
  • completing month-end and year-end reconciliations, and developing internal
  • management reports to support accurate and timely financial reporting.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Reconciling bank accounts monthly and balancing transactions on a daily and

weekly basis and resolve discrepancies

  • Month-end account reconciliations
  • Track and manage fixed assets, depreciation, and disposals
  • Preparation and posting of journal entries, largely monthly recurring

entries

  • Preparation of regular internal management reporting, including sales

reporting

  • Analysis of certain account balances, including recommendations related to

the analysis

  • Processing and review of customer refunds or rebate requests
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of month end and year-end financial records

of all transactions

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation

on a need basis

  • Specific projects and other related duties as required

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Post Secondary Diploma in Accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Good organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
