The Role

BinSentry is seeking an Accountant who thrives in an agile environment and is eager to learn full-cycle accounting and help build scalable processes. This is a hands-on role with significant growth potential, ideal for someone who is ready to build their skills, grow into ownership of key accounting functions, and make an impact.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts & Allocations: Support general ledger accounts including deferred revenue, inventory, and COGS.

Month-End Close: Preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with variance analysis.

Audit Support: Prepare supporting schedules and respond to external auditor requests to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.

Process Improvement: Document current processes and suggest improvements to accounting processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy as the company scales.

Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with other departments, including Operations, Sales, and Development.

Day-to-Day Accounting: Process vendor bills, and manage customer billing and master data in NetSuite.

What Success Looks Like

In your first year you will:

Own an assigned set of month-end close tasks, delivering clean, accurate reconciliation on time each month.

Establish strong working relationships across Operations, Sales, and Development to provide actionable accurate reporting and analysis, and operational alignment.

Learn and document core accounting processes and suggest improvements as BinSentry grows.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of accounting experience (Co-op and internship experience count).
  • Working towards your CPA designation.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) is a must.
  • Ability to demonstrate logic and analytical skills to identify and solve problems.

Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to perform under tight timelines with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Co-op or internship experience with month-end close, reconciliations, or audit support.
