Who you are
- The Senior Accountant will report to the Director of Corporate Finance and work
- closely with the accounting team members. The Senior Accountant will support in
- the preparation of financial statements, reconcile balance sheets and cash
- accounts, participate in the audit process, and analyze trends to influence
- positive financial results. The Senior Accountant will make sure all deadlines
- are achieved, and all work products are of the highest standard. The ideal
- candidate will have the ability to prioritize time-sensitive work with a sense
- of urgency.
What you’ll do
- Cultivate a culture of Enlightened Hospitality for all stakeholders
- Support monthly financial close process, prepare monthly activities including
journal entries related to cash activity, prepaids and fixed assets
- Record and reconcile due to/due from accounts for partnered businesses
- Ensure fixed asset additions are recorded properly, validating depreciation
start dates and useful lives
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, accrued expenses and
intercompany accounts
- Prepare bank account reconciliations
- Prepare documentation for external auditors and tax advisors
- Support ad hoc projects or analyses as needed
What we need from you
- 3+ years of Accounting, Finance or related experience (restaurant or retail
industry is preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA strongly preferred
- NetSuite knowledge strongly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication
