  • The Accountant Senior is responsible for accounting and financial reporting
  • functions of assigned entities, activities, and/or service lines. The position
  • ensures that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all company
  • financial policies, and with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Responsibilities include month end and year end close process, general ledger
  • balance sheet account reconciliations, audit preparation assistance, and journal
  • entry preparation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs accounting function for assigned entities, activities and/or service

lines, with minimal supervision.

  • Prepares schedules and analysis for various items including, but not limited

to audits and budgets.

  • Examines accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports
  • to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural
  • standards.
  • Demonstrates full cycle experience to include but not limited to month end
  • and year end close process, general ledger balance sheet and expense account
  • reconciliations, audit, budget, and journal entry preparation.
  • Ensures monthly financial reporting schedule is met; this includes ensuring
  • that the financial statements are timely, accurate, that all accounts are
  • reconciled and that all relevant detail is distributed to management on a
  • timely basis.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts,

such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.

  • Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital,
  • and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to
  • summarize current and projected company financial position.
  • Assists departmental leaders and the budget team in development of
  • operational budgets, interpreting and reporting on variances from assigned
  • areas.
  • Assists in preparing financial reports and presentation materials for

distribution to management and other stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Education
  • Associates Degree Accounting, Business, Finance, Related field Required or
  • Two years of related experience in lieu of associate's degree. Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Business, Finance, Related field Preferred

Minimum Work Experience

  • 2 years Accounting, finance, or other related work experience, preferably in

health care Required
