  • The Senior Cost/Inventory Accountant is responsible for managing inventory
  • accounting, cost accounting, financial analysis, and reporting activities to
  • ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory valuation and cost of goods sold
  • (COGS). This role partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing,
  • and Finance teams to support inventory controls, cost analysis, month-end close,
  • and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review manufacturing variances including material, freight, tariff, and

overhead variances.

  • Ensure accurate inventory valuation in accordance with IFRS and company

policies.

  • Reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger and investigate

discrepancies.

  • Prepare month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial

analyses.

  • Support physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and audit requests.
  • Prepare schedules for year-end external audit
  • Monitor inventory reserves, obsolete inventory, and valuation adjustments.
  • Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve inventory

accuracy and controls.

  • Support SAP S4 implementation and process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including inventory and/or

cost accounting.

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and inventory accounting principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain experience.
  • Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.

Experience Requirement

  • Minimum 5-7 years of prior accounting experience, including inventory
  • accounting, cost accounting, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and
  • month-end close responsibilities.
