About Us: At The Pinnacle Companies, our success isn’t just built on the homes we design and build, the spaces we create, or the services we provide - it’s built on our people. We are a team driven by passion, collaboration, and a shared commitment to creating exceptional experiences. As a leader in luxury mountain homes, we specialize in architecture, construction, and interior design, but what sets us apart is our culture.

At Pinnacle, we believe in pushing boundaries, embracing challenges, and growing together. We balance professionalism with authenticity and confidence with humility. Success here isn’t just about business growth - it’s about the relationships we build, the experiences we create, and the meaningful impact we make every day.

Not everyone is meant to work here and that’s okay. Pinnacle is a place for people who take pride in their work, who bring their whole selves to the table, and who believe excellence and optimism aren’t simple acts, but daily habits. We’re looking for people who lean into challenges, own their outcomes, believe in the possible, and show up for their community.

If you’re looking for a job, you’ll find thousands. If you’re looking for a place to grow, contribute, and push your own limits, you might belong here.

The question is simple: Are you someone who thrives where expectations are high, accountability is real, courage is celebrated, and relationships run deep? If so, we’d love to meet you.

The Role: The Staff Accountant is a hands-on accounting support role and the first person to touch our accounting entries and supporting documentation. This position owns bill entry, receipt collection and organization, and the accuracy of project costing, client invoicing, and reconciliations in QuickBooks (Intuit Enterprise Suite). You will support the accounting team across all of our processes and procedures, serving our three core businesses: Pinnacle Mountain Homes, Collective Design, and Collective Architecture.

This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of accounting who takes pride in getting the details right. Priorities can shift day to day, from month-end invoicing for one business, to a receipt backlog for another, to a reconciliation question for a third, so flexibility and the ability to pivot quickly are essential. You will be the person who notices when something doesn't tie, digs in to understand why, and fixes it at the source. As you grow in the role, you will help document and improve the workflows you touch.

This is an in-person role based in our Frisco office.

Key Responsibilities

Bills & Receipts: Enter vendor bills coded to the correct entity, job, and cost code with documentation attached, and collect and organize credit card receipts, following up on anything missing before close.

Project Costing & Invoicing: Keep costs posted to the right job and cost code so budgets, draws, and job-cost reports stay accurate, and support monthly client invoicing across construction, design, and architecture.

Reconciliations & Data Integrity: Perform bank, credit card, and subcontractor reconciliations, resolve unbilled costs, duplicates, or miscoding, and keep vendor, customer, and job records clean in QuickBooks.

Month-End & Team Support: Support the monthly close with timely entries and documentation, and partner with project managers, designers, and architects to resolve coding or billing questions.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in accounting, bookkeeping, or AP (construction, design, or architecture a plus)

Basic understanding of accounting principles (debits & credits, accruals, reconciliations) and job costing.

QuickBooks Online / Intuit Enterprise Suite experience is a bonus

Solid Excel skills and comfort with AI tools

Exceptional attention to detail, strong organization, and high integrity.
