Job Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will play a key part in the monthly close process, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting, while also supporting audit readiness and day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the month-end close process, including preparing and posting journal entries within established deadlines.

Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations monthly, researching and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

Maintain the fixed asset ledger, including additions, disposals, transfers, and monthly depreciation, ensuring the sub-ledger ties to the general ledger.

Manage accounts payable functions including coding, approvals, and vendor payment run.

Assist with internal and external audit requests by preparing supporting schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.

Identify and help implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.

Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Support ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or related field) required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.

Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close procedures, and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Prior experience with fixed asset accounting and accounts payable preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with NetSuite is strongly preferred.

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Pay: $65,000–$70,000 per year, commensurate with experience
