Summary

This position provides accurate and timely information to department management to aid in review of financial results.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Daily tasks could include any of the following:
  • Reconcile daily cash activity by applying customer payments, preparing journal entries, and verifying accounts payable transactions.
  • Prepare daily cash forecast for upper management.
  • Approve sales opportunities within Salesforce and work closely with CarnoSyn sales team to ensure smooth flow of business activities.
  • Invoice customers, monitor AR accounts, make collections calls as needed and prepare sales reports as needed.
  • Process intercompany transactions and reconcile all intercompany relationships.
  • Create and maintain customer data files, including credit limits.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Maintain and monitor fixed assets in the general ledger and in the SAGE FAS system for all entities.
  • Prepare and monitor monthly account reconciliations of AR, Cash, and other assigned accounts to ensure compliance with SOX and internal control policies.
  • Prepare and enter the journal entries for Co 500 CarnoSyn – Beta-Alanine.
  • Assist AP department with AP Email Inbox and UIR and Registered Invoices maintenance.
  • Perform month-end activities including but not limited to journal entries and account reconciliations for Company 500, Carnosyn.
  • Prepare and reconcile California Sales Tax for monthly and quarterly payment.
  • Assist Company 100 accountant as needed with overflow.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Baan ERP or other major ERP system experience.
  • At least two years of previous experience in an accounting department with general ledger experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Highly accurate data analysis and intermediate to advanced excel skills.
  • Must demonstrate good communication skills and be able to work well as a team member with all departments within the company.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of company sensitive and proprietary information is also required.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and stand.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
  • Lifting requirement: Up to 30 pounds

Work Environment

  • Computer workstation and climate-controlled office environment. May occasionally enter production areas where personal protective equipment might be required to prevent or lessens exposure to airborne-borne powdered nutritional supplement substances
