How you’ll contribute

  • A Financial Analyst who excels in this role:
  • Analyze financial performance across physician practices, identifying trends,
  • explaining favorable and unfavorable variances, and highlighting
  • opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate budget-to-actual performance and determine the underlying drivers
  • related to provider productivity, patient volume, reimbursement, staffing,
  • and operating decisions.
  • Review and analyze revenue, contractual deductions, operating expenses, labor

costs, and EBITDA.

  • Support month-end closing, account reconciliations, and accurate financial

reporting.

  • Develop financial forecasts and assess the financial impact of operational

decisions.

  • Build financial models to support provider recruitment, new positions, clinic

growth, capital investments, and other business opportunities.

  • Analyze provider productivity metrics, including work relative value units

(wRVUs), compensation models, and productivity benchmarks.

  • Translate large amounts of financial and operational data into clear, concise

reports and insights that leaders can use to make informed decisions.

  • Proactively investigate unusual results, identify emerging financial

concerns, and communicate findings and recommendations.

  • Partner with finance and operational leaders to support practice performance

and other financial initiatives.

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and follow applicable

healthcare regulations and organizational policies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Additional

requirements include

  • Required
  • At least two years of relevant accounting, finance, or financial analysis

experience.

  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret
  • financial results, explain variances, and identify underlying business
  • drivers.
  • Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing, and financial

reporting.

  • High proficiency in Excel and financial reporting or analytics tools,
  • including the ability to organize and analyze large datasets and build
  • financial models.
  • Ability to understand or learn physician productivity metrics, provider

compensation models, and productivity benchmarks.

  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a proactive, curious approach

to problem-solving.

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain financial

information clearly to operational leaders.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently with general

guidance, and connect financial details to broader operational goals.

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare, physician practices, or medical group operations.
  • Experience with Axiom and Oracle.
