At Ernst Brothers, we know that behind every extraordinary home is a finance team keeping the records accurate, the vendors paid, and the books ready for whatever comes next.

We're looking for a Staff Accountant who takes pride in getting the details right, someone who brings the same precision to the books that our craftspeople bring to the build.

This isn't a role where you'll just move numbers from one screen to another.

You'll work directly with our Controller and CFO, managing day-to-day accounting for multiple entities across several states and keeping the project financials behind our custom homes, renovations, and additions accurate and up to date.

What You'll Be Trusted to Do

As a Staff Accountant, you'll own the daily accounting work that keeps our projects and our company running smoothly, while building deep expertise in construction finance.

  • Enter monthly client requisitions and post daily cash receipts.
  • Process project accounts payable, including materials and subcontracts.
  • Enter and reconcile credit card charges.
  • Collect and review Certificates of Insurance from subcontractors.

Analyze and reconcile project financials, prepare financial reports, and maintain vehicle fleet records.

  • Assist the Controller and CFO with semi-monthly payroll, audits, and special projects.
  • Why Ernst Brothers?

You'll have the opportunity to

Work directly with our Controller and CFO on the financial side of complex, architecturally significant homes.

See how every part of a construction project connects, from requisitions and payables to payroll and project financials.

  • Build your construction accounting expertise across multiple entities and states.
  • Be part of a team that values accuracy, follow-through, and dependability.
  • This isn't a role for someone looking to coast.

It's for someone who takes ownership of the details: reconciling every account, tracking down every discrepancy, and meeting every deadline.

  • It's for someone who can juggle competing priorities without letting anything slip.
  • It's for someone who wants to be an essential part of a strong finance team.

If you have 5+ years of construction accounting experience, a sharp eye for detail, and take pride in clean, balanced books, you'll fit right in.

  • What We Have to Offer?
  • Competitive salary based on experience $60k to $75k
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Retirement plan options
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Voted Best Place to Work
