Phase 1 Equity is a fast-growing Dental Service Organization partnering with orthodontic practices across the country. We’re building something big, and we need a sharp, detail-obsessed accountant to help keep our books tight as we grow.

Requirements

What you’ll do

• Own the close. Journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and roll-forwards, done right and on time every month.
• Keep things balanced. Reconcile bank, credit card, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts across multiple entities.
• Dig into the numbers. Research variances, prepare account analyses, and support reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Help us grow. Bring newly acquired practices into our accounting system and help build the processes that let us scale.
• Keep payroll running smoothly. You’ll own payroll processing in Paylocity to start, then shift into a backup role as your accounting responsibilities grow with the company.
• Make things better. Spot inefficiencies, document procedures, and help strengthen our controls.

What you bring

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, with a bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• A solid grasp of GAAP.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables and lookups are your friends).
• The ability to juggle deadlines without dropping the ball.
• Bonus points for Sage Intacct, Paylocity, payroll experience, or a background in healthcare, dental, or multi-entity organizations.
