We're seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative, and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization. What You'll Do As a Senior Accountant, you'll support the financial management and operations of the credit union by maintaining accounting records, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end closing activities. You'll also provide guidance and support to accounting team members while helping ensure accuracy and compliance across accounting functions. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries. Reconcile general ledger accounts and credit union transaction accounts. Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities. Process payments and verify financial information for accuracy. Prepare budget, income, expense, and other financial reports. Analyze accounting records and identify discrepancies or opportunities for improvement. Review accounting work for accuracy and completeness. Serve as a resource and mentor to team members on accounting processes and procedures. Assist with special projects and other accounting initiatives as assigned Qualifications: What We're Looking For 3-5 years of accounting or related financial experience. Bachelor's Degree Preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet applications. Experience working with accounting systems and general ledger functions. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
