- The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting
- functions of the organization. This role assists with accounts payable, accounts
- receivable, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial
- reporting, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate is
- detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to develop a strong foundation in
- accounting in a manufacturing context.
MAJOR DUTIES
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
- Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts.
- Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and audits.
- Review transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Support budget preparation and financial analysis activities.
- Maintain accounting records and documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent
experience)
- EXPERIENCE PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES:
- 2-3+ years of experience performing similar duties; preferably in a
manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
required; Epicor preferred
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Extended periods of sitting required.
