Senior Accountant

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

• This position is responsible for month-end closing (journal entries,
• reconciliations, reports), and account analysis. This person must be able to
• work independently and with little supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal

entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP and IFRS

• Prepare and/or review monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for quarterly audits
• Responsible for Chart of Accounts maintenance in general ledger system
• Responsible for Supplier master maintenance
• Prepare Lease accounting schedules and entries in compliance with GAAP and

IFRS

• Consolidation and management reporting as a holding company
• Analyze trends and identify unusual transactions requiring investigation
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis as requested
• Interact with internal and external auditors and assist with related

deliverables

• Assist a maintenance activity for company accounting policies
• Works closely with Treasury and FP&A department
• Provide cross-functional support based on situational needs

• Excellent attentiveness to detail
• Strong self-starter and ability to work independently and with little

supervision

• Able to meet deadlines given with accurate and complete information
• Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities

COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in use of Microsoft Word
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
• 5 or more years as Senior Accountant in a medium to large sized organization
• Manufacturing industry experience is preferred
• GAAP and IFRS experience are preferred
