Description
We are looking for an Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our Resorts Accounting Team. This position will report to the Controller, Resorts Division.
Responsibilities
Lead full cycle accounting responsibilities ensuring accurate and timely results are provided to the business
Preparing and submitting government tax remittances
- Routinely perform periodic bank account reconciliations
- Prepare periodic financial update and various other reports
- Liaise with operations management on accounting issues
Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain effective internal controls, identify risks and propose recommendations for required control changes as necessary
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, prioritizing automation where possible.
- Build great working relationships with the business to promote synergies
- Support the annual external financial statement audits and tax filing requirements
- Perform other accounting duties as required
- Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
CPA designation, or equivalent
Minimum of 3-4 years experience in full-cycle accounting role with a strong working knowledge of GAAP
Strong financial analysis skills and independent problem solving
Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work within established deadlines and time constraints
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to have fun and be a great team player
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel and ERP systems (Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations experience would be considered an asset)
