What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $74,000.00 and $84,000.00. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location & Schedule
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work 3 days in office at 4347 Airport Way Denver CO, 80249. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

DEN is Colorado’s primary economic engine, generating $47.2 billion in annual economic impact for the state.
Denver International Airport (DEN) is seeking an organized and detail‑oriented Associate Grant Analyst to join our Grants team. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and operational support for DEN’s grant portfolio, working closely with the Grants Manager and departments across the airport to ensure grant information, documentation, financial data, and reporting requirements are accurate and up to date.
Specifically, as the Financial Analyst Associate you will
Coordinate with internal DEN departments to understand upcoming projects, funding needs, and potential grant opportunities.
Research and identify federal, state, and local grant opportunities that align with DEN’s Vision 100 goals and upcoming projects.
Support all phases of the grant lifecycle, including application development and submission, award setup and administration, financial and performance tracking, reimbursement preparation, compliance activities, and grant closeout.
Monitor grant compliance, regulations, and funding requirements—including federal requirements under 2 CFR Part 200—and participate in training and professional development to remain current on evolving regulations and best practices.
Provide administrative and coordination support among the Grants team, program staff, funding agencies, and internal DEN departments to ensure effective grant administration.
Review and maintain grant-related policies, procedures, accounting records, and financial information systems to support compliance with DEN’s core values and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations; assist in implementing and maintaining financial controls and systems for new grants and programs.
Perform accurate and timely data entry related to grant applications, awards, budgets, expenditures, reporting, and compliance activities.
- Assists with Capital Improvement Program (CIP) tasks and related activities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Required Minimum Qualifications
Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience Requirement: One (1) year of professional level experience researching, analyzing, calculating, and compiling financial data, debt or portfolio administration, or financial statistical analysis.
Education/Experience Equivalency: No substitution of experience for education is permitted.
- Additional appropriate education may be substituted for experience requirements.
