JOB SUMMARY
The Business Analyst, Procurement Services supports the procurement team by delivering data-driven insights, managing key contract and vendor documentation, and helping streamline procurement processes. This role is well-suited to an early-career professional who is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to build a foundation in procurement operations. The Business Analyst will work cross-functionally with category managers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support sourcing decisions, contract compliance, and continuous process improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain regular and ad hoc reports and dashboards to track procurement KPIs, spend trends, and savings initiatives
Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities, vendor performance issues, and process inefficiencies
Support contract management activities, including tracking key terms, renewal dates, and compliance requirements
Maintain and organize contract repositories and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date
Conduct vendor performance analysis, including scorecards and comparative spend/quality assessments
Assist in the creation and administration of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including drafting requirements, distributing to vendors, and compiling responses
Identify opportunities for process automation and assist in implementing tools or workflows to increase efficiency
Document current-state procurement processes and support the design of improved workflows
Collaborate with category managers, finance, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and support procurement initiatives
Assist with the preparation of presentations and summaries for leadership review
QUALIFICATIONS
Employment Experience
2–5 years of experience in business analysis, procurement, supply chain, finance, or a related analytical role.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis); experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools is a plus.
Comfortable leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to support research, data analysis, drafting RFP content, and process documentation
Familiarity with contract management, RFP processes, or vendor management is preferred but not required
Additional Skills & Competencies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
Interest in process improvement and automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, RPA platforms) preferred
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or related field
COMPENSATION & SALARY RANGE
The salary range for this position is $75,553 - $88,000. Pay ranges listed are what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. Actual pay may be higher or lower and ranges may be adjusted in the future. Pay positioning within the range is influenced by factors including—but not limited to—education, experience, skills, certifications, performance, geographic location, business needs, seniority, and travel requirements.
WORK LOCATION & HYBRID SCHEDULE
This position is based at Choice Hotels International’s corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, Maryland. Regular onsite presence at this location is required. Associates are expected to follow the established hybrid work schedule, working onsite Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays.
