- needs into AI-enabled solutions, supports adoption of approved AI tools, and
- measures productivity gains through clear documentation, feedback, and
- follow-up.
About the Role
- The Business Analyst, Artificial Intelligence is responsible for helping
- Renaissance Financial evaluate, design, and implement responsible AI-assisted
- workflow improvements. This role meets with departments, managers, and team
- members to understand existing processes, document requirements, identify
- opportunities for AI-enabled efficiency, and develop practical solutions using
- approved platforms such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude. The position also
- supports a culture of safe and compliant AI usage by helping team members
- understand appropriate use cases, documenting measurable outcomes, and following
- up after implementation to determine time savings and business value.
Primary Responsibilities
- Meet with teams, managers, and business stakeholders to analyze current
- workflows, pain points, repetitive tasks, and opportunities for improvement
- through approved artificial intelligence tools.
- Execute the AI Strategic Plan: translate its five goals into deployment
- strategies, establish baseline measurements before launch, and report
- adoption, productivity, quality, governance, and innovation metrics to the
- Manager, Cybersecurity and other stakeholders.
- Assist with the development of the internal AI Hub as the firm’s single point
- of access for approved tools, policies, training, prompt libraries, use-case
- guidance, and innovation intake.
- Serve as product owner for Jump AI and other tools as prescribed. This
- includes configuration, licensing, roadmap, vendor support, escalation, and
- maintenance of the approved AI Tools Matrix.
- Design, build, test, and maintain reusable AI solutions, including Claude
- “skills,” instruction sets, prompts, and project knowledge bases, with
- guardrails that mitigate hallucination and keep a human accountable for final
- work product.
- Embed with departments as an internal consultant: map current-state
- processes, identify and deliver AI use cases, run the AI Champions Network,
- deliver role-based training, and gather feedback through focus groups and
- pulse surveys.
- Ensure every use case aligns with the firm’s Conditions of Use,
- data-classification rules, and regulatory obligations, including applicable
- FINRA and SEC requirements; support controls that reduce shadow AI and
- document use cases so the firm can evidence them to auditors and examiners.
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Essential Characteristics
- Strong business analysis skills, including the ability to understand
- workflows, ask effective questions, identify root causes, and translate
- business needs into clear requirements.
- Technical depth paired with practical curiosity - genuinely interested in how
- large language models work, and willing to read documentation, test, and
- iterate rather than wait for a vendor to supply the answer.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to
- explain AI concepts, limitations, and appropriate use cases to non-technical
- audiences.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to document
- requirements, decisions, workflows, outcomes, and follow-up actions
- accurately.
- Strong active listening and collaboration skills, with the ability to build
- trust across departments and work effectively with managers, team members,
- IT, Cybersecurity, and Compliance.
- Comfortable learning new technologies, testing AI-assisted workflows, and
refining solutions based on feedback and measured results.
- Sound judgment regarding data privacy, client confidentiality, and
- responsible technology use - including the judgment to recognize when a use
- case has compliance conflicts and needs to be escalated.
- Professional, personable, and polished in all interactions, including with
team members at all levels of the organization.
Education, Training & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software
- Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a closely related technical
- field required.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience building with generative AI beyond consumer
- use - professional, academic, internship, or personal project work are
- required.
- Working understanding of AI fundamentals, including how large language models
- produce output, context and grounding, retrieval-augmented generation, tool
- and function calling, output evaluation, and the causes and mitigation of
- hallucination required.
- Working proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and JSON required.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in solutions engineering, business
analysis, technology enablement, or a related technical field required.
- Experience administering an enterprise AI platform; building SharePoint
- Online sites; Power Platform or Microsoft Forms; financial services or
- another regulated industry; AI governance frameworks such as the NIST AI Risk
- Management Framework required.
- Claude Certified Associate or Architect certifications required.
Computer Equipment & Software
- Proficiency in the use of:
- Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint,
OneNote, SharePoint, and Teams
- Microsoft Copilot and other approved Microsoft 365 productivity tools
- The Renaissance AI Technology stack: Claude, Copilot, Jump AI, and other
tools as approved
- Survey, form, and feedback tools used to measure adoption, user experience,
and time savings
- Process documentation, diagramming, project tracking, and collaboration
tools
- Salesforce or other business applications used by internal teams
Working Conditions
