The Financial Analyst will help build and scale the company’s FP&A function. Reporting to the Director of FP&A and working closely with the CFO, this role owns the monthly reporting cycle, the budget and forecast models, lender reporting and the operational analysis that connects fleet and job performance to the P&L. The position offers direct exposure to board and sponsor reporting, fleet investment decisions and M&A, along with high visibility to senior leadership and the opportunity for a strong performer to make an immediate impact. JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst will help build and scale the company’s FP&A function. Reporting to the Director of FP&A and working closely with the CFO, this role owns the monthly reporting cycle, the budget and forecast models, lender reporting and the operational analysis that connects fleet and job performance to the P&L. The position offers direct exposure to board and sponsor reporting, fleet investment decisions and M&A, along with high visibility to senior leadership and the opportunity for a strong performer to make an immediate impact. Success in this role depends on being a reliable business partner who turns reporting into insights that leadership can act on.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Prepare the monthly management and board package, including GL tie-out and commentary
  • Build the annual budget and rolling forecasts by fleet, customer and end market
  • Deliver monthly variance analysis with revenue and margin bridges

Report operational KPIs, including utilization, rate, job profitability and operating spend

  • Help functional leaders, sales and branch managers manage forecasts and performance
  • Prepare borrowing base and compliance certificates under the ABL facility
  • Model crane purchase ROI, buy vs. rent decisions, new branches and acquisitions
  • Develop creative approaches to automate and streamline recurring reporting and analysis

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

2 to 5 years in FP&A, corporate finance, banking, transaction advisory or public accounting

  • Advanced Excel modeling skills supported by strong accounting fundamentals
  • Proven record as a business partner, with examples of analysis that drove decisions
  • Self-starter who identifies and implements process improvements independently
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar BI tools
  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to reconciliation
  • Ability to communicate financial results clearly to non-finance audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
  • Able to work 100% on-site and commute to our Bonner Springs, Kansas headquarters

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in a PE-backed environment, including board or lender reporting
  • Background in equipment rental, construction or another asset-intensive industry
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python or other tools for data extraction and automation
