Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Principal Financial Analyst / Sr. Principal Financial Analyst (Level 3 or 4) to join its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Financial Analyst level (level 3) or Sr. Principal Financial Analyst level (level 4).

What you’ll do

Conducting financial analysis of financial metrics (Sales, Operating Margine, ROS%, Cash)

Financial EAC analysis

Prepare production related cost and schedule estimates. Including lifecycle cost estimates, Production timing estimates and advance procurement requirements.

Conduct analysis on Sentinel production preparedness.

Evaluate production related risk and opportunities

Serve as a liaison between the risk and opportunities team and the segments to ensure thoroughness of analysis, review risk and opportunities for executability.

Analyze and interpret production related cost data including learning curves, price escalation, and bill of materials.

Collaborate across organizations and functions to compile and research all necessary data to complete financial models to support leadership reviews, proposals, what-if analysis, etc.

Work independently to balance multiple projects and prioritize while delivering first time accuracy on-time

This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Financial Analyst level (level 3) or Sr. Principal Financial Analyst level (level 4).

Basic Qualifications Principal Financial Analyst (Level 3)

Master’s degree with 3 year experience or Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years' proven experience in the following areas: Business, cost management, finance, financial planning and analysis, accounting, reporting, program control, and/or similar industry related fields

  • Experience with MS Office Skills including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP, Deltek Costpoint, Deltek Cobra and/or similar ERP systems

Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance

Basic Qualifications Senior Financial Analyst (Level 4)

Master’s degree with 6 year experience or Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years' proven experience in the following areas: Business, cost management, finance, financial planning and analysis, accounting, reporting, program control, and/or similar industry related fields

  • Experience with MS Office Skills including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP, Deltek Costpoint, Deltek Cobra and/or similar ERP systems

Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance

This position's standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

  • Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00
  • Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
