  • We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to
  • join our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This is a highly
  • visible role that combines traditional FP&A responsibilities with business
  • analytics and data-driven reporting, regularly moving between financial
  • analysis, business problem solving, data reconciliation, and the development of
  • executive-level reporting and visualizations. This position offers significant
  • exposure to senior leadership and provides opportunity to develop a broad
  • understanding of the financial and operational drivers of a property and
  • casualty insurance organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze Business Performance: Analyze financial and operating results to
  • identify trends, explain variances, and provide insight into the key drivers
  • of company performance.
  • Enterprise Metrics Reporting: Support the preparation and analysis of
  • quarterly performance reporting to senior management, including recurring
  • updates, validation of key metrics, development of new exhibits, and ad hoc
  • follow-up analyses.
  • Capital Management: Support capital adequacy analysis and other capital
  • management initiatives including forecasting, stress testing, and management
  • reporting.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform financial modeling and deep-dive analysis for senior
  • leadership, developing clear conclusions around business performance,
  • underlying drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Data & Reporting Stewardship: Help maintain accurate and reliable enterprise
  • reporting through consistent metric definitions, data validation,
  • documentation, and appropriate reporting controls.
  • Work with Data Tools: Extract, reconcile, and analyze financial and
  • operational data using SQL and AtScale cubes; develop clear dashboards and
  • visualizations using Tableau or similar BI tools.
  • Partner Across the Organization: Work closely with FP&A, Corporate Finance,
  • Product, Actuarial, IT and other business teams to support recurring
  • reporting, strategic initiatives, and new analytical needs.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve and automate recurring
  • processes, reporting, and analysis through better use of data, technology,
  • and emerging tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics or

another quantitative discipline.

  • 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a similar finance

role.

  • Understanding of financial statements and the ability to connect financial

and operating results to underlying business performance.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with demonstrated proficiency working

efficiently with large datasets, financial models, and complex analyses.

  • Working knowledge of SQL to query, manipulate and reconcile data; willingness

and aptitude to develop more advanced SQL skills.

  • Working knowledge of Tableau with an interest in developing more advanced

dashboarding and visualization capabilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to synthesize complex
  • analysis into clear takeaways and confidently communicate findings to senior
  • executive audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to
  • investigate discrepancies, work through unfamiliar problems, and develop
  • well-supported conclusions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage

recurring deliverables and ad hoc requests across multiple priorities.

  • Intellectual curiosity, initiative, and demonstrated ability to learn new

business concepts, analytical tools, and technologies.

  • Property and casualty insurance industry experience is preferred but not

required.

SALARY RANGE

  • The pay range for this position is $94,000 to $123,500 annually. Actual
  • compensation will vary based on multiple factors, including employee knowledge
  • and experience, role scope, business needs, geographical location, and internal
  • equity.
