  • HAPO is now accepting applications for a Financial Analyst in Richland, WA. We
  • are seeking an individual who is ambitious, self-motivated and who strives to
  • represent HAPO’s core commitment “Be in the Moment” and standard of service

  • part of. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of Asset-Liability Management and
  • Interest Rate Risk Analysis. They will have excellent quantitative, analytical
  • and financial skills. They will have strong organizational and project
  • management skills. Candidates must be self-motivated and results oriented with
  • the ability to excel under tight deadlines.

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the development, maintenance, and analysis of the Credit Union's
  • Asset/Liability Management (ALM) program, including balance sheet modeling,
  • interest rate risk analysis, liquidity management, and capital planning.
  • Utilize ALM software to perform financial forecasting, scenario modeling,
  • stress testing, and what-if analyses to evaluate the impact of changing
  • economic and operational conditions.
  • Analyze trends in revenue, expenses, net interest margin, loan and deposit
  • portfolios, and other key financial metrics to support strategic
  • decision-making.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models used for budgeting,

forecasting, profitability analysis, and long-range financial planning.

  • Prepare and present financial analyses, reports, and recommendations to

management that support organizational goals and business initiatives.

  • Assist in the preparation and completion of quarterly regulatory reporting

and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, Lending, and executive leadership
  • teams to evaluate financial performance, balance sheet strategies, and growth
  • opportunities.
  • Support liquidity, capital, and interest rate risk management initiatives

through ongoing monitoring and reporting of key risk indicators.

  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting, improve data integrity, and
  • streamline financial analysis processes through technology and process
  • improvements.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects, strategic initiatives, and financial studies

that support the Credit Union's long-term objectives.

Education/ Experience Requirements

  • Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration,
  • or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant
  • experience.
  • One to three years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, risk
  • management, treasury, banking, credit unions, or a related financial services
  • environment.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of Asset/Liability Management (ALM) principles, interest rate risk

management, liquidity management, and balance sheet modeling.

  • Experience working with ALM, profitability, forecasting, or financial

planning software.

  • Experience within a banking, credit union, or other regulated financial

institution environment.

  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and financial institution

performance metrics.

Location: On-Site Richland (WA)

  • Schedule: Must be able to work 35-40 hours a week between the hours of 8:30am –
  • 5:30pm Mon-Fri

Starting Salary Range (DOE)

Financial Analyst Level I : $48,706.53 - $73,059.58

Financial Analyst Level II: $55,115.63 -$82,673.55

Financial Analyst Level III: $62,429.95 - $93,644.93

  • This position may be filled at the Financial Analyst I, II, or III level,
  • depending on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, and
