Senior Data Analyst

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Data Analyst will play a key role in building and supporting Unity’s reporting and analytics capabilities. This position will work closely with leaders and teams across the organization to turn clinical, financial, and operational data into useful information and insights.
The Senior Data Analyst will help lead the development of our analytics platform, support data governance and quality, create meaningful dashboards and reports, and help teams use data to make informed decisions.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both the technical side of data and working directly with people to solve problems and improve how an organization uses information.
SCHEDULE
This is a salaried, exempt position with a Monday–Friday schedule. Typical hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with flexibility based on business needs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead the development and ongoing support of Unity’s reporting and analytics platform.
- Work with leaders and teams to understand their data and reporting needs.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and data solutions using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Write SQL queries and work with databases to extract, organize, and analyze data.
- Support data interfaces and data flows between internal and external systems.
- Help ensure data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.
- Support data governance efforts, including data standards, access, and quality.
- Work with vendor partners and internal teams to troubleshoot and improve data systems.
- Analyze clinical, financial, and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Use data to help leaders make informed decisions and improve patient care, quality, and operational performance.
- Explore the use of AI and other new technologies to improve analytics and reporting.
- Develop training and resources to help employees use reporting and analytics tools effectively.
- Present data and findings in a clear and easy-to-understand way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Lead and manage analytics projects from planning through completion.
- Build strong relationships with leaders and teams across Unity.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, or other related field.
Minimum of 5 years working with corporate analytics systems (data interfaces, databases, analytics, dashboards, reporting) that support information systems initiatives across a company-wide scope. Healthcare information systems and technology experience would be helpful along with Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) software experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server.
Minimum of 5 years of experience using analytics and visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, or the equivalent tools.
Demonstrated experience leading diverse and multi-disciplinary teams with their analytics needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience working within healthcare information systems and technology environments.
Practical experience navigating Electronic Health Record (EHR) software platforms, with a strong preference for Epic system architecture.
- Strong proficiency in SQL query writing, data extraction tools, and ETL processes.
- Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) designation.
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst or Tableau Certified Data Analyst Credentials.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Advanced proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and database management
Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and designing high-impact, stakeholder-facing dashboards.
- Strong application of statistical methods, analytical techniques, and predictive modeling.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel for rapid data cleaning and ad-hoc exploration
- Deep understanding of healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and data privacy standards.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to diverse stakeholders
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and capable of dealing with deadline pressures.
Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations as well as organizational policies and procedures
Satisfy mandatory training requirements regarding local, state, and federal regulations and/or Unity’s policies and procedures.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
