  • As a Pricing & Category Data Analyst, you'll help drive strategic pricing and
  • category decisions across nearly 3,000 stores. In this role, you'll partner
  • closely with Category Managers and cross-functional teams to uncover insights,
  • identify opportunities, and influence decisions that improve sales,
  • profitability, and the guest experience. This is an opportunity for a naturally
  • curious analyst who enjoys solving complex business challenges, telling
  • compelling stories with data, and making recommendations that deliver measurable
  • results.

What You'll Do

  • Transform complex data into actionable insights that support pricing

strategies, category initiatives, and business objectives.

  • Analyze sales performance, pricing effectiveness, consumer behavior, and

market trends to identify opportunities for growth and profitability.

  • Manage and optimize pricing segmentation rules and constraints within our

price optimization platform.

  • Develop and refine segmentation strategies based on guest purchasing
  • behavior, competitive dynamics, store traffic patterns, and product
  • categories.
  • Build and evaluate pricing scenarios, measure outcomes, and present

recommendations to Category Managers and business leaders.

  • Proactively support key merchandising decisions related to vendor

negotiations, promotions, assortment strategies, and space allocation.

  • Lead and contribute to high-impact projects that improve pricing and category

management processes across the organization.

  • Partner with technology and analytics teams to enhance tools, reporting

capabilities, and analytical processes.

  • Monitor economic conditions, industry trends, and business performance to

provide data-driven recommendations that support strategic decision-making.

  • Present findings and insights in a clear, compelling way that drives action

and influences stakeholders.

  • This role could be filled at multiple levels depending on background and
  • experience (Associate, Analyst, Senior).
  • Compensation: Starting pay range:‏‏‎ $73,000 - $95,900. Actual pay may vary
  • based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities
  • (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors
  • impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position
  • is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full
  • salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing
  • team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required.
  • At least three years of related work experience.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and statistical skills to tackle complex

challenges around data analysis and business intelligence delivery.

  • Data modeling, extraction, transformation, statistical and business

calculation languages (SQL, Python/PySpark, and Power BI DAX/M).

  • No/Low code data wrangling platforms (Power BI M Query/Dataflows or

Databricks Workflows).

  • Business Intelligence platforms (PowerBI or Tableau).
  • Knowledge of data analytic cloud platforms, databases, and surrounding

ecosystems (Azure or Databricks Preferred).
