The Sr Analyst, Data & Reporting is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and operationalizing the data, analytics, and reporting capabilities that enable business performance across the Directed Spend organization. This role serves as a key partner to Product, Technology, Operations, Account Management, Client Services, Finance, and Analytics teams by transforming business requirements into scalable reporting solutions, actionable insights, and decision-support capabilities. This position is responsible for driving complex reporting and analytics initiatives, maintaining reporting governance standards, and ensuring data quality, consistency, and transparency across enterprise reporting assets.

The Sr Analyst will work independently on complex assignments while collaborating with capability leaders and business stakeholders to define reporting needs, develop meaningful metrics, improve reporting processes, and support strategic initiatives through data-driven insights. This role serves as a subject matter resource for reporting, analytics, KPI development, and data governance practices.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics Delivery

Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and translate reporting requirements into scalable analytics and reporting solutions

Develop, enhance, and maintain operational reports, executive scorecards, dashboards, and self-service reporting tools

Analyze business performance, trends, and operational metrics to identify opportunities and risks

  • Support development and maintenance of KPI frameworks aligned to business objectives
  • Deliver recurring and ad hoc analyses that enable data-driven decision-making

Data Governance & Quality

Support reporting governance processes, business definitions, metric standards, and data documentation

Participate in data quality monitoring and validation activities to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency

Assist in maintaining data dictionaries, reporting inventories, and metadata repositories

Identify data quality issues and partner with technology and business teams to drive resolution

Business Partnership

Collaborate with Product, Technology, Operations, Account Management, Client Services, Finance, Compliance, and Analytics teams to support reporting and analytics initiatives

Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and support prioritization of reporting enhancements

  • Provide guidance on metric definitions, reporting methodologies, and data interpretation
  • Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders and leadership teams

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and improve reporting efficiency

  • Support implementation of reporting standards, governance controls, and best practices
  • Contribute to enhancement of reporting tools, data models, and analytics capabilities

Assist in testing and validation activities for reporting, dashboard, and data platform enhancements

Insight Generation

  • Translate complex data into meaningful business insights and actionable recommendations
  • Support root cause analysis, trend analysis, and performance assessments
  • Develop executive-ready reporting materials and presentations
  • Monitor key business indicators and proactively identify significant performance changes

Success Measures

Within the first 12 months, the Sr Analyst, Data & Reporting will be expected to:

Successfully support delivery of key reporting and analytics initiatives within established timelines

Improve consistency and quality of enterprise reporting through governance and validation practices

  • Increase stakeholder satisfaction with reporting and analytics services
  • Contribute to automation and modernization efforts that reduce manual reporting activities
  • Enhance KPI transparency and reporting adoption across business functions

Develop solid partnerships across business, product, technology, and analytics organizations

Become a trusted subject matter resource for reporting, metrics, and data analysis

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, business analysis, product support, or related discipline

Experience gathering business requirements and translating business needs into reporting or technical solutions

  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Proven communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills

Ability to travel up to 10%25

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of experience supporting cross-functional initiatives involving reporting, analytics, data governance, or business intelligence

Experience within healthcare, health plans, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, financial services, fintech, benefits administration, payments, or healthcare technology organizations

Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Azure Data Platform, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar analytics technologies

  • Experience developing dashboards, scorecards, and business intelligence solutions
  • Experience utilizing data to support operational improvement and business decision-making

Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and product delivery frameworks

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
