YOUR MISSION

The Manager Marketing, Soccer / Basketball supports North America category marketing for Soccer and Basketball within the Sport Category team. Reporting to the Teamhead Marketing, Sport Category, this role translates global and regional direction, consumer insights, and business priorities into coordinated seasonal plans that strengthen relevance with players and fans and support commercial impact.

This role manages day-to-day Soccer and Basketball marketing execution across product storytelling, key launches, athletes and teams, consumer experiences, DTC and wholesale priorities, communications, and media. The Manager coordinates cross-functional workstreams, maintains clear timelines and deliverables, and helps ensure category plans are executed consistently across consumer touchpoints.

Support annual and seasonal marketing planning for Soccer and Basketball, aligned with category strategy, consumer priorities, product launches, and commercial objectives.

  • Translate global direction into relevant North America briefs, launch roadmaps, activation plans, channel guidance, and executional deliverables.
  • Contribute consumer, product, and marketplace insights that inform positioning, messaging, creative development, and product storytelling.
  • Manage integrated go-to-market execution for priority Soccer and Basketball franchises, campaigns, athletes, teams, tournaments, and seasonal brand moments.
  • Coordinate with Communications & Influence, Creative, Media, Social, DTC, Visual Experience, Sports Marketing, Wholesale, and Consumer Journey teams to deliver connected plans across consumer touchpoints.
  • Partner with Sports Marketing on athlete, player, team, and federation storytelling opportunities, ensuring assets support category and product priorities.
  • Collaborate with Wholesale and Account Marketing teams to translate Soccer and Basketball priorities into retail programs, account plans, sell-in tools, consumer events, and seasonal activations.
  • Monitor player and fan behavior, sport and youth culture, marketplace dynamics, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform category recommendations.
  • Manage agencies and cross-functional workstreams, maintaining scope, timelines, deliverables, approvals, risks, and clear stakeholder communication.
  • Manage assigned budgets, KPI tracking, campaign recaps, and post-season learning to improve future execution.

YOUR TALENT

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.

  • 4+ years of experience in category marketing, brand marketing, product marketing, integrated marketing, or a related consumer marketing role.
  • Strong knowledge of Soccer and Basketball consumers, sport and youth culture, performance footwear and apparel, product storytelling, and marketplace dynamics.
  • Experience supporting and executing integrated seasonal marketing plans across digital, social, retail, experiential, communications, and commercial channels.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, agencies, budgets, timelines, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate across marketing, product, merchandising, sales, retail, sports marketing, and global or regional teams.
  • Clear written, verbal, presentation, and briefing skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to review consumer, category, marketplace, and campaign performance data and turn findings into actions.

Success Measures

  • Clear, well-coordinated seasonal Soccer and Basketball plans aligned to category and business priorities.
  • Relevant product storytelling and consumer engagement across Soccer and Basketball.
  • On-time, high-quality execution of priority launches, campaigns, athlete and team moments, events, and marketplace activations.
  • Strong coordination across marketing functions, Sports Marketing, DTC, wholesale, and account teams.
  • Assigned budgets, timelines, deliverables, and KPIs managed accurately and consistently.
  • Actionable campaign learning that improves future category planning and execution.

The hiring range base pay for this position is $62,700 - $83,380 + Bonus + Benefits ​
