The posting, in full

We are hiring a Content Marketing Manager to build and run everything Hexmodal publishes. Our buyer is a facilities manager or director at a hospital. Many of them were electricians, plumbers, or HVAC technicians before they moved into management. They are accountable for emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, cold storage, and room pressure across dozens of buildings, and for proving to a Joint Commission surveyor that every one of those tests actually happened. They are practical, mobile (not at their desks), short on time, and immediately suspicious of vendor-speak.

The Mission

We are hiring a Content Marketing Manager to build and run everything Hexmodal publishes.

Our buyer is a facilities manager or director at a hospital. Many of them were electricians, plumbers, or HVAC technicians before they moved into management. They are accountable for emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, cold storage, and room pressure across dozens of buildings, and for proving to a Joint Commission surveyor that every one of those tests actually happened. They are practical, mobile (not at their desks), short on time, and immediately suspicious of vendor-speak.

You will write for that person across four areas. Demand content, meaning the blog and our SEO program against the compliance questions our buyers genuinely search. Proof content, meaning customer case studies you source, interview, write, and get approved. Field and sales material, meaning conference presentations, speaking submissions, webinars, and the one-pagers and enablement assets our sales and partnerships teams request through creative briefs. And product content, meaning launches and new capabilities.

This is a hands-on role. You can bring in contractors when a project calls for it, you will partner with a designer on visuals, and you will build final assets yourself from our templates rather than handing off a document. You are inheriting an early-stage foundation. There is a small case study library, a new website that needs its content simplified, an SEO program in its first months, and a set of email templates. There is no content calendar yet and no measurement baseline. Most of what exists you will rebuild.

You will be measured on influenced pipeline, meaning the pipeline our campaigns generate with your content behind them.

Role Outcomes

First 90 days

A content calendar with published assets, with every planned piece tied to a named audience, a purpose, and where it will reach people.

4 new customer case studies interviewed, written, and approved, with the customer approval path documented so anyone can repeat it.

An intake process agreed with sales and partnerships for creative briefs, covering how requests are prioritized and what turnaround people can expect.

Website content simplified on the top 10 pages that matter most.

Content measurement set up in HubSpot so influenced pipeline can be reported from month four onward.

First 180 days

  • Publishing on a steady cadence of 6 pieces per month without missing dates.
  • 12 case studies in the library, spanning the health system types sales asks about most.

Conference presentations and speaking submissions produced against the field marketing calendar rather than assembled the week before.

  • A webinar program launched, with 4 sessions delivered.
  • The SEO program showing measurable gains on 10 priority compliance topics.
  • A sales and partnerships asset library organized, current, and actually being used.

First year

  • Success will be measured in influenced pipeline attributable to content.
  • Case study production running at 2 per month.

Hexmodal appearing as a top cited source in AI-generated answers for our priority compliance questions.

A written voice and style guide that contractors and other teams can produce from without you rewriting it.

Competencies

Four or more years in B2B content marketing, writing and shipping on a consistent calendar. We will consider fewer years from someone with direct healthcare or facilities experience.

You write well for practical, technical people. You can take an unglamorous subject and make it useful without condescending, padding, or drifting into vendor language. Your portfolio needs to show this, and it is the thing we will weigh most heavily.

You can interview a customer and produce a case study. You are comfortable on a call with a facilities director, you know how to draw out specifics rather than adjectives, and you can write something they are happy to approve.

You run your own calendar and your own intake. Several teams will ask you for things in the same week. You prioritize, tell people what they are getting and when, and hit those dates.

You produce finished work. You write into final format from templates, partner with a designer on visuals, and deliver assets that are ready to use.

Your SEO/GEO knowledge is current. You understand that ranking and being found are no longer the same thing, and you can talk about writing to be quoted by AI answers rather than only to rank.

You are curious about the domain. You are willing to learn Joint Commission requirements, NFPA codes, and how a hospital facilities department actually runs.

Bonus points

  • Healthcare, facilities, construction, industrial, or skilled trades background
  • Experience writing for a technical or trades audience
  • Customer marketing or case study production experience
  • Webinar production
  • Conference abstracts and speaking submissions
  • Video or podcast production
