We believe that communication belongs to everyone. TextNow is redefining how people connect by combining simplicity, intelligence, and accessibility. We’re a team of curious builders using technology to make communication more affordable and powerful for millions of users every day.
Customers should feel the difference. The product has to be clear, trustworthy, and easy to use. People have to understand what they have, what works, and what to do next.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who can help deliver great experiences for our customers.
What You'll Do
You will own how the experience flows. The structure, the sequence, and the path a person takes through the product. The job is to solve the problem, then make the answer elegant, simple, and fluid.
You’ll be expected to
Find the real problem, then design the simplest experience that solves it
Shape how the product flows: the structure, the sequence, and how one step leads to the next
- Drive elegance and simplicity. Take out what the customer does not need
- Make the experience fluid, so moving through the product feels obvious
Use AI to multiply your creative vision. You keep the judgment about what is worth making and what is good
Round-trip the work between the canvas and prototypes people can use, so the intent survives both
You Will Be a Match If
You design how a product works. Your best work is flows, structure, interaction, and whether a person understands it
You hold a high bar for what customers actually experience
You have strong judgment. You can tell a considered experience from an average one, and you will throw the average one out
You are comfortable with ambiguity
You use AI as part of how you design, and the decision stays yours
You write clearly. A few sentences can carry the decision, the constraint, and the tradeoff
How the Team Operates
- Design solves the problem with the team. It does not arrive after the direction is set
- The bar is elegance, simplicity, and an experience that feels fluid
- We critique the thing a customer would feel: clarity & coherence
- AI multiplies creative vision. Taste and judgment stay with the designer
Work moves from the canvas into prototypes, and back, until the thing you can use is the thing you meant
The product should feel like one product
We use the product. The quality bar is what a customer feels
You Might Be a Good Fit If
5+ years of experience designing consumer products
A portfolio that shows how an experience flows: structure, sequence, and the simplest solution to a hard problem
You use AI to multiply your creative vision, you keep the judgment, and you can round-trip between the canvas and a prototype
Bonus: You have shipped products or experiences in your spare time
Compensation
- The expected base salary range for this role is:
- Canada (Waterloo, ON): CAD $156,800 - $224,000
- United States (San Francisco / Bay Area): USD $209,200 - $298,800
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Our goal is to offer a competitive package that reflects the impact and expertise you bring to the team.
