In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • As a PM for Test software, you’ll solve complex problems that our customers
  • experience in their workflows, with a focus on our Electronics,
  • Electromechanical and Embedded SW Test application areas.  Every day you’ll
  • work with a highly collaborative team across R&D, the Business Units and
  • several other functions to achieve our business goals and continually improve
  • the experience for our customers. You will work on high impact projects as
  • the Test Software team works to bring NI's software vision to life in our
  • products. A successful Test Software Product Manager will define and
  • implement product capabilities which are easy to sell, that deliver
  • outcome-based added value to customers, and add to the BUs’ profitability.

Who You Are

  • Understand the market trends, competitive landscape carefully and with the

in-depth understanding of our existing product, create a product vision and

prioritize the new features and requirements

  • Act as a domain expert and advocate/implements the best practices with the

development team

  • Understand the individual customer requirements carefully and create the
  • Functional specifications, Use cases, mock-ups and other documents required
  • for the development team to get going. Explain functional requirements to the

development team

  • Make sure that the solution that is designed and developed effectively meets

the business objectives of the end user

  • Validate/test the newly developed features and their impact on existing

features. Demonstrate these new features to key stakeholders and get their

feedback

  • Work with UX team to create a pleasant user experience
  • Act as the hub of the stakeholders for the application, interfacing with the

customers, sales, consulting and development teams

  • Act as an SME to reviews the training material and product documentation
  • Supports BU Business Management in marketing and sales strategies including

pricing, sales enablement, and customer training.

  • Help Sales, Solutions Marketing, CCS and BU teams to support RFPs, RFQs,

ongoing implementations and customer demos (preparation / delivery)

  • As SME, act as the first responder for any functional queries or issues from

internal and external teams

  • For This Role, You Will Need:
  • 2+ years of experience in Product Management or Business Management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or

related field.

  • Travel – up to 25% to global sites and customer locations as needed
