DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS

About Our Team

Lenovo's AI Ecosystem is a new, centralized AI organization designed to deliver a unified AI solution that seamlessly spans Lenovo Intelligent Devices Group devices and segments. We are a diverse, nimble, fast-paced team driven by entrepreneurial spirit. Our talented product and development teams combine deep user understanding with collaborative empowerment to create a new era of AI-powered experiences across wearables, smartphones, tablets, laptops, and cloud services.

We are seeking an AI Product Manager to help define, build, and launch the next generation of Lenovo AI experiences. This role is designed for a product manager who has demonstrated strong execution and is ready to take increasing ownership of an AI product area. You will work closely with engineering, design, research, product planning, and other product leaders to turn customer problems and emerging AI capabilities into simple, useful experiences.

Location: Chicago, IL. Candidates should be able to work collaboratively with the Chicago-based team and global Lenovo teams.

What You'll Do

  • Own defined product features or workstreams within a larger AI product, from requirements through launch and iteration.
  • Help identify user problems and opportunities where AI can create meaningful value for consumers or enterprise users.
  • Translate product goals and user needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, priorities, and success metrics.
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, research, and QA to deliver high-quality experiences on schedule.
  • Build a working understanding of generative AI, large language models, AI agents, multimodal AI, and device/cloud AI capabilities, and apply them appropriately to product experiences.
  • Use customer feedback, research, competitive analysis, product analytics, and experimentation to improve product decisions.
  • Help evaluate technical tradeoffs including model quality, latency, privacy, safety, reliability, resource usage, and cost.
  • Participate in product planning, roadmap development, sprint planning, demos, and launch readiness activities.
  • Define and track product metrics, learn from post-launch results, and turn insights into follow-on improvements.
  • Communicate progress, risks, decisions, and priorities clearly to cross-functional partners and product leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or Design disciplines.
  • 5+ years of product management experience delivering software, digital, or technology products.
  • Demonstrated experience working with engineering and design teams to ship customer-facing products or features.
  • Experience translating customer needs into clear requirements and prioritizing work across competing needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI-powered products, generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, conversational interfaces, or multimodal experiences.
  • Experience in enterprise software, productivity applications, SaaS, IT workflows, or B2B products.
  • Familiarity with AI product considerations such as model evaluation, prompt design, grounding, privacy, responsible AI, security, and cost.
  • Experience with mobile, web, Windows, Android, cloud, or consumer electronics products.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping, user research, experimentation, analytics, or A/B testing.
  • Comfort using modern product and engineering tools and working in agile or pod-based organizations.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated ability to take ownership, bring clarity to ambiguity, and move work forward.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment and learn new technologies quickly.

What Success Looks Like

You will quickly become a trusted product owner within an AI product area - understanding the customer problem, partnering effectively with engineering and design, making sound product tradeoffs, and driving features from idea to launch. Over time, you will take on broader product ownership and help Lenovo turn rapidly evolving AI capabilities into useful, high-quality experiences.
