Job Summary

  • PODS is reimagining the moving and storage experience, and we’re building
  • products and services that make it easier for customers to plan, book, and
  • manage their move. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to develop new
  • capabilities and improve existing offerings across our core product portfolio.
  • This role connects customer needs, business priorities, technology, and
  • operational requirements to deliver products that improve the customer
  • experience, drive revenue growth, and increase operational efficiency.
  • This role will report to the Director of Core Product and own the strategy,
  • roadmap, and performance of an assigned product area. With a high degree of
  • autonomy, you will develop a three-year vision aligned with the broader
  • portfolio strategy, create annual roadmaps, and work with engineering and
  • business partners to deliver them. You will collaborate across product, design,
  • engineering, operations, marketing, sales, customer experience, finance, and
  • analytics. Success requires excellent written and oral communication, strong
  • analytical skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to influence
  • cross-functional teams. You should be comfortable understanding technical
  • complexity, contributing to engineering discussions, and balancing customer
  • value, business impact, and operational feasibility.

A Day in The Life

  • Here at PODS, our product teams work closely with engineering, design, and
  • business partners to solve customer problems and deliver measurable results. You
  • will turn a long-term vision into prioritized initiatives, clear requirements,
  • and actionable user stories, working in an Agile environment to deliver
  • improvements iteratively. You will use data, customer research, market insights,
  • and frontline feedback to identify opportunities and test assumptions. Day to
  • day, you will align stakeholders, make tradeoffs, manage dependencies, and
  • support product launches and operational readiness. We learn rapidly by testing
  • new experiences, measuring their impact, and incorporating those learnings into
  • the roadmap. If you enjoy taking ownership of complex problems and working

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for an assigned product area within

PODS’ core product portfolio, prioritizing opportunities based on customer

needs, business value, and operational impact

  • Use customer research, data analysis, market insights, and stakeholder

feedback to identify problems, assess opportunities, and develop business cases

and product recommendations

  • Lead end-to-end product delivery with engineering, design, and business
  • partners, translating priorities into clear requirements, user stories, and
  • acceptance criteria while managing dependencies and tradeoffs
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders on product priorities, launch plans, and

operational readiness; communicate progress, risks, and decisions to the

Director of Core Product and other leaders

  • Define and own success metrics for customer adoption, satisfaction, financial

results, and operational performance; design experiments, evaluate results, and

continuously improve products after launch

  • Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, or technology

experience

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Comfort with SQL and data analysis
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions

and strategy related to a product

  • Experience in building customer-facing products utilizing a multi-year roadmap
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers

and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver with complete independence in situations where

product strategy is not yet defined

  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery
  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, technology, engineering, economics,

or a related field

  • Experience building and scaling consumer-facing products, services, or

enterprise capabilities

  • Entrepreneurial and inventive spirit with a track record for delivering

results in fast-moving and demanding environments

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process

improvement

  • Experience in logistics, transportation, retail, technology, or service-based

industries
