The Senior Associate Product Manager is responsible for leading the development, commercialization, and lifecycle management of EOS Insight and related data-driven clinical technologies. This role serves as a key contributor in defining product strategy, translating clinical and business needs into product requirements, and driving successful execution from concept through market adoption.

The Senior Associate Product Manager is responsible for leading the development, commercialization, and lifecycle management of EOS Insight and related data-driven clinical technologies. This role serves as a key contributor in defining product strategy, translating clinical and business needs into product requirements, and driving successful execution from concept through market adoption.

The Senior Associate Product Manager plays a critical role in shaping the clinical experience within EOS Insight, including alignment assessment, 3D modeling, surgical planning, and integration with intraoperative solutions such as patient-specific rod bending and other enabling technologies. This individual works closely with Product Development, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Commercial, and Executive stakeholders, while maintaining regular engagement with surgeon customers to identify unmet needs, validate product concepts, and drive innovation.

As a member of the InformatiX team, this position helps advance ATEC's information-based technologies that support and enhance spine surgery through data-driven clinical workflows, analytics, and intelligent decision-support capabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Own assigned portions of the EOS Insight portfolio, driving product strategy, development, commercialization, lifecycle management, feature enhancements, and end-of-life planning.

Partner with leadership to define product vision, roadmap priorities, and feature sequencing aligned with business objectives, market opportunities, and customer needs.

Translate surgeon feedback, clinical workflows, market insights, business priorities, and technical constraints into comprehensive product requirements, user stories, and development priorities.

Lead cross-functional collaboration with Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, UX/UI, Marketing, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure successful delivery of product initiatives.

Serve as a subject matter expert for EOS Insight and related data-driven technologies, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders and customers.

Drive customer discovery activities through direct engagement with surgeons, sales leaders, clinical teams, and other stakeholders to identify unmet needs and opportunities for innovation.

Contribute to the development and execution of product roadmaps, business cases, market assessments, and competitive analyses to support strategic decision-making.

Define and champion data-driven capabilities, including AI-enabled insights, analytics, predictive models, and clinical decision-support tools that enhance surgeon workflows and patient outcomes.

Ensure AI-enabled solutions are clinically relevant, explainable, compliant, user-centric, and aligned with surgeon decision-making processes and workflow requirements.

Partner closely with EOS Clinical Account Managers, Regional Sales Managers, and Market Development teams to drive product adoption, customer engagement, utilization, and commercial growth.

Lead the development of sales tools, customer-facing materials, product demonstrations, training programs, case studies, and educational resources to support successful commercialization.

Coordinate and support product launches, customer onboarding initiatives, surgeon education programs, conferences, cadaver labs, trade shows, and market development activities.

Monitor and analyze key product performance indicators, including adoption rates, utilization trends, customer satisfaction, workflow efficiency, data quality, and commercial outcomes, recommending improvements as needed.

Evaluate market trends, competitive offerings, emerging technologies, and customer feedback to identify future product opportunities and inform strategic planning.

Build strong relationships with surgeon customers, key opinion leaders, and internal stakeholders to support product development, validation, and market adoption efforts.

Continuously expand professional and technical expertise through industry engagement, independent research, professional networking, and participation in conferences, educational programs, and industry events.

Travel up to 15-40% as required.

Preferred requirements

Experience in spine, orthopedics, medical imaging, surgical planning, navigation, robotics, digital surgery, or AI-enabled healthcare software.

Experience working with web or mobile software platforms.

Familiarity with software as a medical device, regulated product development, design controls, usability engineering, or medical device quality systems.

Experience developing product requirements, user stories, launch plans, sales collateral, training materials, or product positioning.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Software Engineering, or related field.

3+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably with technology products and/or in the orthopedic device industry specially the spine industry.

Salary Range

Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $75,000-$95,000 Full-Time Annual Salary
