DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS
Overview
The Senior Product Manager, Advanced Platforms owns product execution for Lenovo’s SDS, HPC storage, and emerging platforms. The role leads platform transitions, qualifications, governance, and lifecycle management, converting broader portfolio direction into scalable business outcomes.
Working across partners, engineering, solutions, sales, and support, this PM establishes repeatable operating models and ensures advanced platforms are competitive, supportable, and ready for adoption and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio and Lifecycle Ownership
- Own roadmap, requirements, software cadence, launch, adoption, and growth for SDS, HPC storage, and emerging platforms.
- Lead platform transitions and develop business cases for new technologies.
- Translate portfolio strategy into executable plans with clear priorities and outcomes.
Qualification, Governance & Certification
- Lead platform qualification and certification programs.
- Establish repeatable governance for partner-based solutions and emerging technologies.
- Coordinate readiness across engineering, services, sales, support, and lifecycle teams.
Partner & Ecosystem Management
- Serve as the product interface for selected OEM and technology partners.
- Influence partner roadmaps through customer requirements, market insight, and business priorities.
- Evaluate partnership opportunities and drive cross-functional execution.
- Track AI infrastructure, HPC, SDS, and data-platform trends to identify requirements, opportunities, and competitive risks.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management or related infrastructure technology experience.
- Experience with enterprise storage, infrastructure software, datacenter technologies, or adjacent markets.
- Experience operating in a partner-based business model, including joint roadmap planning, requirements alignment, commercial coordination, and cross-company execution.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Ability to translate customer, market, and partner needs into clear product requirements, priorities, and business outcomes.
- Strong communication, business judgment, and stakeholder-influence skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HPC architectures, including parallel file systems, high-performance networking, data movement, and performance optimization for compute-intensive workloads.
- Understanding of AI infrastructure architectures, including GPU-based systems, training and inference data pipelines, storage performance requirements, and integration with the broader AI ecosystem.
- Experience with SDS, HCI, enterprise SAN or NAS, object storage, storage networking, infrastructure management, or automation.
- Experience working with major storage, server, silicon, cloud, or software partners to develop and bring joint solutions to market.
