The role serves as the connective product leader across Insurance, CenterWell, Go365, CarePlus Health Plans, technology, architecture, security, operations, compliance, analytics, and experience teams. The Lead Product Manager maintains and prioritizes the integrated XIAM product backlog, resolves cross-portfolio dependencies and tradeoffs, and ensures delivery aligns to enterprise strategy, customer needs, regulatory obligations, and measurable business outcomes.

The portfolio includes capabilities such as registration, sign-in, multifactor authentication, account recovery, identity verification and proofing, federation and single sign-on, authorization, profile and access management, and the modernization of shared identity platforms and journeys.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Vision

Define and communicate a clear XIAM product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned with enterprise and business-area priorities

Establish an omni-channel approach that creates consistent identity and access experiences while accommodating the distinct needs of Insurance, CenterWell, Go365, CarePlus Health Plans, and other enterprise partners

Translate customer needs, business strategy, security priorities, regulatory requirements, operational constraints, and technology considerations into actionable product plans

Align initiatives to Humana's strategic measures to deliver customer and operational value, differentiate through trusted experiences, and grow through scalable modern capabilities

Integrated Backlog and Roadmap Management

Own, maintain, and continuously prioritize the integrated omni-channel XIAM product backlog across business partners, domains, platforms, and customer journeys

Ensure Epics and Features clearly communicate business value, scope, dependencies, risks, testing needs, measurable acceptance criteria, and intended outcomes

Balance enterprise capabilities, business-area commitments, modernization work, security and compliance needs, production health, and technical enablement when making priority decisions

Partner with delivery teams to maintain backlog readiness, sequence work across planning increments and roadmaps, and make transparent tradeoff decisions when capacity or dependencies change

Provide clear visibility into roadmap status, decisions, risks, funding needs, milestones, and value realization

Cross-Portfolio Leadership and Collaboration

Build strong working relationships across Insurance, CenterWell, Go365, CarePlus Health Plans, and enterprise shared-service teams

Create a consistent engagement model for intake, discovery, prioritization, planning, delivery, launch readiness, and post-launch optimization

Facilitate alignment among product, engineering, architecture, security, operations, compliance, analytics, design, testing, and external business stakeholders

Resolve cross-team dependencies and competing priorities while keeping decisions anchored in customer impact, enterprise value, risk, and strategic alignment

Serve as the primary point of accountability for product direction, backlog prioritization, stakeholder communication, and value realization for assigned XIAM capabilities

Product Lifecycle and Modernization

Lead discovery, business-case development, requirements definition, prioritization, delivery, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement

Drive modernization of identity platforms and journeys to improve security, reliability, scalability, interoperability, maintainability, and customer experience

Guide convergence toward reusable enterprise capabilities and reduce unnecessary fragmentation or duplication across channels and brands

Ensure business readiness, operational support, documentation, monitoring, release validation, and acceptance are addressed as part of delivery

Customer, Experience, and Stakeholder Management

Gather and synthesize feedback from members, patients, caregivers, employers, producers, providers, business partners, service teams, and operational stakeholders, as applicable

Use journey insights, voice-of-customer feedback, production data, and operational signals to identify friction and prioritize improvements

Partner with design and channel teams to create accessible, intuitive, and consistent experiences across web, mobile, assisted-service, and other applicable channels

Build trust through clear communication, transparent prioritization, documented decisions, and outcome-focused execution

Data, Metrics, and Performance

Define product and journey success measures, including adoption, registration and sign-in success, recovery completion, authentication friction, quality, reliability, security outcomes, speed, cost, and business impact

Use quantitative and qualitative evidence to assess product performance, validate hypotheses, and inform roadmap and backlog decisions

Monitor product health and post-launch outcomes, and lead corrective or optimization actions when results do not meet expectations

Track risks, issues, dependencies, and decision points to improve delivery confidence and executive visibility

Governance, Security, and Compliance

Ensure product decisions and backlog items align with enterprise architecture, security, privacy, accessibility, data, risk, compliance, and governance expectations

Partner with identity security and business risk leaders to balance strong controls with low-friction customer experiences

Ensure acceptance criteria are explicit, actionable, testable, outcome-focused, and address integration, security, compliance, business validation, and testing as applicable
