About the Role We are partnering with Sony Pictures Entertainment to hire a Product Manager, Ad Product to support advertising across its direct-to-consumer streaming portfolio, including Sony Pictures Core and Live TV on PS5. This is a hands-on, mid-level role for a product professional who can translate commercial and operational needs into clear workflows, coordinate campaign and platform readiness, and help improve advertising delivery, reporting, and partner support. Working with guidance from Product and Monetization Leadership, this role will partner with Ad Operations, Commercial Partnerships, Engineering, QA, Data and Analytics, Content Operations, Marketing, vendors, and business teams. The Product Manager will own defined advertising operations workstreams and service improvements rather than setting ad product strategy. Key Responsibilities Advertising Operations and Service Readiness Own assigned ad product workstreams from intake and requirements through configuration, validation, launch readiness, and post-launch follow-up. Gather campaign, commercial, technical, and operational requirements from internal teams and external partners, and document clear workflows, service needs, and validate proposed solutions. Create operational requirements, process flows, checklists, acceptance criteria, troubleshooting guides, and supporting documentation. Analyze customer behavior, operational metrics, and product performance to identify opportunities for improvement. Coordinate with Ad Operations, Engineering, QA, Analytics, Marketing, Commercial Partnerships, and vendors to support campaign and platform readiness. Proactively communicate clear and concise product status, risks, dependencies, decisions, and launch readiness to Product Leadership and key stakeholders. Campaign Delivery and Cross-Functional Coordination Serve as the day-to-day contact for assigned advertising workflows, campaign readiness questions, delivery issues, and partner feedback. Track campaign and release dependencies, operational decisions, risks, and milestones, and escalate blockers to the appropriate lead. Build productive relationships across Ad Operations, Engineering, Analytics, Commercial Partnerships, and external partners to resolve issues and improve advertising capabilities. Coordinate deliverables with ad technology vendors, measurement partners, and third-party development teams as needed. Participate in campaign planning, operational reviews, platform testing, release readiness, incident reviews, and retrospectives. Help ensure campaign launches and operational deliverables meet approved schedules, specifications, and quality expectations. Ad Delivery, Support, and Improvement Partner with Ad Operations, QA, and Engineering to triage ad delivery issues, validate expected behavior, and confirm fixes. Assist Customer Service and partner-facing teams with advertising-related questions and validation of reported playback or delivery issues. Monitor available ad delivery, fill, error, playback, pacing, and reporting signals to identify operational issues and improvement opportunities. Support day-to-day operation of launched advertising capabilities, including campaign setup readiness, ad serving integrations, measurement, reporting, and issue resolution. Recommend practical improvements to campaign execution, documentation, partner support, service reliability, reporting quality, and team efficiency. Work across the organization to foster an environment of mutual respect, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 2+ years of experience in product management, ad operations, product operations, campaign operations, business analysis, data analysis, or a related role. Experience gathering operational or campaign requirements and translating them into clear workflows, documentation, checklists, user stories, or acceptance criteria. Experience coordinating work across commercial, operational, technical, and partner teams. Ability to manage assigned priorities, follow through on commitments, and communicate risks or blockers clearly. Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Comfort using delivery and performance data to investigate issues, validate outcomes, and recommend operational improvements. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience with digital advertising operations, streaming, media, entertainment, or consumer technology. Familiarity with FAST, AVOD, SVOD, SCTE-35 stream signals, or connected TV environments. Exposure with digital video advertising, ad servers, SSAI/CSAI workflows, ad decisioning and campaign trafficking, VAST/VMAP or equivalent ad serving standards, and audience targeting. Experience with inventory, pacing, targeting, frequency capping, brand safety, identity and measurement integrations. Experience with Jira, Confluence, Amplitude, Tableau, or similar collaboration and analytics tools. Experience working in an Agile product development environment. Work Setup and Benefits Hybrid role based in Culver City, California: onsite Monday through Thursday and remote on Friday. Full-time position, 40 hours per week Compensation: $48 - $52 per hour 401k with matching, no PTO included
