Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Management, the Product Manager is responsible for the strategy, development, commercialization, and performance of an assigned product portfolio.
The Product Manager has responsibility for driving profitable growth from product development through launch and ongoing lifecycle management. This role works closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and customers to identify opportunities, develop products, and deliver revenue and profit objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop product and market strategies based on customer needs, market trends, competitive activity, and growth opportunities for the gas product line.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with Robertshaw's strategy.
- Identify and champion new product opportunities and maintain a healthy NPI pipeline.
- Lead products through development, launch, commercialization, and lifecycle management.
- Develop go-to-market plans, including positioning, channels, pricing, and customer value propositions.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing on product launches, customer opportunities, training, and product communications.
- Manage portfolio performance, including sales, margin, forecasts, and business plan execution.
- Identify and address gaps in revenue, margin, volume, and other business objectives.
- Serve as the primary cross-functional liaison between Sales, Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, Pricing, and other functions.
- Champion resolution of product issues and act as the central point of contact for product-related decisions.
- Participate directly in customer meetings and support new business development.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in Product Management, Sales, Business Development, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant gas product or industry experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline required; MBA preferred.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand technically complex products and markets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategy and translate it into execution.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and build strong internal and external relationships.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education
- 4-year technical or business degree required.
The base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000. Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors. This position is also eligible for participation in the Management Incentive Plan. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
