Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: Corporate Office - Orem, UT, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 4 Year Degree, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Travel Percentage: Up to 25%, Job Shift: Day, Summary - This position owns discovery and definition for Studies Weekly Online. This position identifies the highest-impact problems for teachers, students, and administrators and tests solutions with customers before moving tasks forward to the Technology department. This position delivers validated, well-defined epics and stories to the Technology department. This role decides what SWO should build and why.Qualifications: Essential Duties and Responsibilities – Discovery and Validation: Continuously gather feedback and ideas through internal stakeholders, customer interviews, classroom observation, focus groups, and usage data from Pendo and GA4. Research and monitor competitors' online products, performing regular competitor analyses for all assigned markets. Gather feedback from customers and stakeholders on prototypes. Make data-driven recommendations for prioritization of the backlog. Collect and present ROI data to the executive team and other stakeholders to inform all of the why behind the backlog prioritization. Definition and Prioritization: Own the gathering, validation, documentation, and prioritization of epics, features, and stories for the SWO backlog using Jira, Tableau, and other tools. Clear documentation includes a validated problem, supporting evidence, scope, and a success metric. Write product briefs engineers can build from without a second round of discovery. Define outcome metrics for shipped work and report on whether it moved them. Influence and Communication: Present opportunities and risks of backlog candidates to the Executive team on a regular cadence. Communicate fluently with Engineers about frontend and backend implications. Communicate with Educators about standards, pedagogy, and assessment. Collaborate with both Product and Technology departments to evaluate the online format and technical feasibility to fully identify production requirements and roadmap timelines. Work closely with Product Analyst to gather, evaluate, and analyze data connected to feature opportunities. Travel: Travel several times a year for customer interviews, focus groups, and conference presence. Education and Experience – Experience Requirements: Product Management: 3-5 years required Market Research Competitive Analysis Product Development Bachelor's degree in a business-related field Physical Demands – The employee is required to talk, hear, and see. Often, this position requires the employee to stand, sit, bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, ascend and descend stairs. Also, to reach with arms and hands, and use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and manipulate keyboard keys. The employee is also required to lift up to 20 lbs. Minimal travel may be required on company business by plane, car, or other transportation.
