Continental Finance Company specializes in credit card options for those consumers with less than perfect credit. We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead credit card acquisition and decisioning initiatives and manage a dedicated Agile product team.
This role will partner closely with Marketing and Credit Risk as core business stakeholders, along with Data Science and Technology teams, to launch new credit card products, execute acquisition strategies, and enhance underwriting and decisioning capabilities.
The Product Manager will bring together strong card product expertise, people leadership, and Agile delivery experience to drive business priorities from strategy through execution.
Essential Functions
Own the product vision, roadmap, backlog, and priorities for credit card acquisition and decisioning capabilities
Lead the Product/Scrum team, partnering with BSA, Development, QA, and Engineering to drive successful delivery
Partner with Marketing on new credit card products and acquisition strategies, including Direct Mail, pre-screen/pre-qualified, internet, and digital campaigns
Partner with Credit Risk on underwriting strategies, credit policies, eligibility criteria, and decisioning requirements
Collaborating with Data Science on risk models, response models, segmentation, targeting, and decision strategies
Drive enhancements to underwriting, rules engine, and decisioning platforms
Translate Marketing and Credit Risk strategies into product capabilities and technology priorities
Drive backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, and product readiness
Maintain a prioritized, development-ready backlog and manage cross-team dependencies and delivery risks
Communicate roadmap, priorities, delivery status, risks, and key decisions to business and technology stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have the following
5+ years of Product Management or Product Owner experience in credit cards, fintech, or financial services
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading cross-functional product or technology teams
- Experience partnering with both Marketing and Credit Risk teams
Strong understanding of credit card underwriting, credit risk, decisioning and acquisition campaigns
Experience leading an Agile Product/Scrum team and coordinating BSA, Development, and QA.
Strong experience with product roadmaps, backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and releases
Experience with credit bureau integrations (Experian, TransUnion, Equifax)
Working knowledge of SQL with the ability to analyze data, validate business outcomes, and support product and decisioning performance analysis.
- Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, Azure DevOps, JIRA, or Confluence
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills
