This position is a hybrid position located in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Two to three days in the Indianapolis office are required a week.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and manage accounts by providing overall account management.
  • Actively prospect for new accounts and maximize sales potential with existing customers.
  • Meet established sales goals
  • Develop sales strategies to cultivate new business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage client requests/projects from inception to completion including coordination and expediting of internal job planning and production.
  • Research, identify, and develop new sales opportunities.
  • Manage forecasts and client budgets.
  • Review existing initiatives and programs to identify process improvements and value add opportunities.
  • Participate in Business Planning and Strategy development.
  • Development of sales presentations and presenting to new and existing clients.
  • Appraise management of anticipated account problems and develop appropriate action plans.
  • Coordinate annual account management review for assigned accounts and communicate results to review to management.
  • Coordinate preparation of estimates, quotations and pricing proposals.
  • Evaluate cost and billing ratios to maximize profitability of accounts.
  • Prepare invoices, assure prompt collections, review credit risks, and manage accounts receivable.
  • Evaluate and assure proper postal and freight advances.
  • Prepare contact reports, call reports, client profiles, and other required information.
  • Research market trends and competitive actions and abilities.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Hibbert benefits and services as they relate to our products, services, and systems.
  • Assist in training Account Managers on overall sales and account management responsibilities.
  • Ensures a strong commitment to quality and adheres to all ISO 9001 related standards.
  • Complies with all safety policies and reports any safety issues immediately to a manager.
  • All other duties/ responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Comprehensive knowledge of marketing with pharmaceutical and/or Clinical Trials experience a plus.
  • Ability to seek new business opportunities.
  • Solid project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows environment including Word and Excel.
  • Strategy development and problem solving skills.
  • Must demonstrate working proficiency of the English language.
  • Can effectively communicate with, but not limited to, English speaking employees/other business contacts (contractors, customers, vendors, etc).
  • Successfully comprehends business materials written in English ( job assignments, instructions, etc).
  • Displays behavior and judgment that consistently upholds Hibbert ACT values.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: College degree required.
  • Physical Demands: Moderate lifting to 40 lbs.

EXPERIENCE

Learning Curve: Experience in Pharmaceutical or Clinical Trials preferred but not required.

Prior Experience: Minimum 3-5 years experience in consultative account management.
