- Position Summary: The Personal Lines Insurance Account Manager will be
- responsible for managing a book of insurance business, marketing new and renewal
- business, and rounding out client accounts. In addition to client relationships,
- an Account Manager also maintains positive relationships with internal and
- external stakeholders.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Essential Tasks
- Assisting the Personal Lines Sales Producer in maintaining the client's
insurance policies
- Preparing endorsements to send to the insurance carriers
- Assisting with cancellations of policies
- Educates clients about coverages and make recommendations as needed to meet
client insurance needs
- Handles renewals and remarkets as needed. Develop proposals and may present
to clients.
- Handles or refers insured’s questions or delegates to appropriate team member
- Actively refers clients to Benefits and Commercial Lines departments for
solicitation of new business
- Maintains detailed customer records in the agency management systems (Applied
EPIC and CSR 24)
- Maintains healthy working relationship with underwriters, carriers and other
stakeholders
- On occasion, may work with Accounting Department to reconcile accounting
discrepancies
- Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product information,
coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and stay current

- Experience and Education:
- 3-5 years of Personal Line Insurance experience required
- Experience with high net worth accounts is a plus
Licensing and Credentials
- Active General Lines or Property & Casualty License required
- Designations preferred (i.e CISR, CIC, CPRIA)
Systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Applied Epic experience preferred, but knowledge of similar Account
Management System (AMS) is acceptable
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens
- Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person
- Repetitive hand movements, such as keyboarding, writing, 10-key
- Walking, bending, sitting, reaching and stretching in all directions
