Job Summary

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing long-term relationships with customers and overseeing customer accounts. This person will work to satisfy customers’ needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver positive customer experience and will help grow our business by building successful, long-term client relationships.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manages a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success.
  • Develops positive relationships with clients.
  • Acts as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs.
  • Generates new business using existing and potential customer networks.
  • Resolves conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
  • Reports on the status of accounts and transactions.
  • Multi-tasks between various programs and phone calls.
  • Enters correct customer and customer order data into a CRM and ERP system.
  • Opens and maintains customer accounts.
  • Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results.
  • Manages in-coming calls.
  • Works closely with various other departments.
  • Processes customer design and cost requests.
  • Prepares and presents quotes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proven customer support experience.
  • Strong phone contact handling and active listening skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities.
  • Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills.

Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both oral and written.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
  • At least two years of sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
