Job Description
Responsible for the Gaming, Non-Gaming Audit and Accounts Receivable areas for completing daily audits, compiling, and analyzing information for gaming/non-gaming audit areas. Maintains and reports accurate financial data in accordance with SOX, regulatory requirements, and internal controls standards.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices, and procedures.
Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls
- Create month end journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly accounting reconciliations of related tax liability accounts
- Evaluate new technology opportunities for continuous process improvement.
- Liaise with internal, external and government audit agencies
Excellent analytical and time management skills
- Coordinate audits by various taxation authorities in relation to Financial Shared Services
- Communicate problems or discrepancies to management in a timely and efficient manner.
To promote an effective relationship between the department, the operating property, other departments and to ensure effective operational processes.
- Perform all functions with the highest level of integrity.
- Observe and follow all safety procedures.
- Performs all other job related duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent.
- Previous knowledge of IRS, Payroll and Nevada taxes a plus
Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook, basic office equipment, and 10-key.
Clear understanding of change management abilities. This should include participating in the development of solutions which require comprehensive shifts in operational practices.
Proven decision making and problem solving skills.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
Must possess an in depth knowledge of internal and accounting control procedures of gaming operations.
Excellent written, verbal and public presentation communication skills and demonstrate ability to resolve all situations in a professional manner.
Excellent customer service skills. Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

- Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

PREFERRED
Previous knowledge and experience with Boyd Gaming Corporation gaming and financial systems (ACSC, CMS, Micros, Infogenesis, LMS).
Previous experience working in a similar casino resort or Financial Shared Services Center setting.
