Summary

The Senior Corporate Accountant role is a cross-functional role that will serve the Corporate Finance team in a variety of accounting and finance activities. This role will work closely with the Manager of Corporate Accounting and the larger finance team with month-end close, financial reporting, and special projects. This role will require knowledge of month-end close best practices, automation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and with multiple departments. This position will report to the Manager of Corporate Accounting and will have direct C-suite exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly internal and external financial reporting packages
  • Assist with annual financial statement preparation, audit, and other compliance requirements
  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting as needed
  • Analyze underlying data to catch discrepancies, trends, and anomalies
  • Improve and automate processes where possible, leveraging AI tools to drive efficiency

Qualifications

  • Public accounting background and CPA strongly preferred
  • Solid grasp of GAAP and general ledger accounting
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large financial datasets to identify trends and discrepancies; familiarity with SQL (joins, basic querying) or eagerness to learn is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, strong formula writing, etc.)
  • NetSuite and Ramp experience is a plus, but not required
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Strong organization and time management skills; ability to effectively handle multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proactive self-starter who takes ownership of tasks, operates independently, and is comfortable taking initiative and thinking creatively to solve problems when faced with the unknown
  • Years of Experience Desired: 3-5 years
  • Bachelor or higher in Accounting and/or Finance
