POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant at 10X Health is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and owning assigned reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly close activities across multiple legal entities. This individual will support financial reporting, review financial results, and resolve accounting issues in accordance with US GAAP and established internal controls. Working closely with Finance and other departments, the Senior Accountant will identify and implement process improvements that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of accounting operations.

OBJECTIVES

Maintain and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts, including bank and credit card accounts, and investigate and resolve discrepancies

Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and other assigned accounting areas

Review account balances and financial results, perform variance analysis, and communicate findings to accounting leadership

  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and record asset additions, disposals, and depreciation
  • Reconcile inventory balances and investigate discrepancies in partnership with Operations

Support revenue recognition and related reconciliations in accordance with company policies and US GAAP

Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting, tax filings, and external audits

Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation across multiple legal entities

Follow established internal controls and identify gaps or inconsistencies in accounting processes

Collaborate with other departments to obtain complete and accurate financial information and resolve accounting issues

Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and consistency

  • Support special accounting projects and financial analyses as needed
  • COMPETENCIES

Working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls

Proficiency in general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and monthly close processes

Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online

  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or Great Plains
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions
  • Understanding of inventory accounting, fixed assets, and revenue recognition

Familiarity with working across multiple legal entities

Analytical judgment to investigate discrepancies, evaluate financial results, and resolve accounting issues

Clear communication of accounting findings and financial information to colleagues across departments

Effective prioritization of close activities and competing accounting deadlines

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

At least 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger accounting and monthly close

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience in eCommerce preferred
  • Experience with ERP implementations preferred
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
