Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Database Services Finance

• AWS is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Database Finance team
• supporting our database services portfolio, including DynamoDB, ElastiCache,
• DocumentDB, Neptune, Keyspaces, MemoryDB, and Timestream. This role owns
• go-to-market (GTM) and sales pipeline analytics, partnering with Sales, Business
• Development, and Product teams to translate pipeline signal into revenue
• insight. You will build the analytical foundation that connects customer demand,
• deal economics, and long-range revenue forecasting for one of the
• fastest-growing segments in AWS.

Key job responsibilities

• Own the analysis of the database services sales pipeline across stages,

• segments, and regions. Quantify pipeline coverage, conversion rates, deal
• velocity, and win/loss trends, and translate those movements into revenue
• implications.

• Build and maintain revenue forecasts that incorporate pipeline signal, in-year

actuals, and committed weekly growth rates.

• Deliver recurring reporting for weekly business reviews and monthly financial

reviews, with clear narrative on pipeline health and revenue trajectory.

• Query large revenue and usage datasets to build repeatable, self-service

• analytics. Improve the accuracy and cadence of pipeline reporting by automating
• manual processes and strengthening data controls. Basic Qualifications: - 3+
• years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, or Economics
• Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
• 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial

performance and strategy experience

• 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support

business strategy experience Preferred Qualifications: - MBA, or CPA

• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples:

SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle,

SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

• 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses

experience

• 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve,

automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes

experience

• The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package
• will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
• compensation will be determined based on factors including experience,
