WME Basketball is a global agency providing elite representation and unparalleled service to professional athletes, coaches and front office executives, as well as broadcasters and sports properties. While our primary focus is representing elite basketball and coaching talent, we also represent a variety of high-profile sports personalities in other areas including tennis, broadcasting, and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Fully own all aspects of administrative support for the Managing Partner including but not limited to:
- * Manage a busy, ever-changing calendar of meetings, calls, and commitments
- * Plan frequent travel, both domestic and international
- * Manage client ticket requests and other service needs
- * Coordinate schedules for clients
- * Help run monthly department meetings from start to finish: agendas, reminders, notes, action items, and follow-ups
- Represent the Managing Partner in communications with clients and external contacts
- Handle logistics for client commitments such as sponsor appearances, speaking events, and commercial shoots (including occasional in-person support)
- Work with the leadership team on meetings, projects, and department priorities
- Support board meetings and communication with ownership and senior leadership
Qualifications
- Required
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
- Minimum of five years of work experience or training between supporting a senior executive or agent (or similar high-volume, high-profile desk)
- Unparalleled organizational skills with an excellent eye for details
- Ability to identify & anticipate business needs
- Ability to work off-hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Calm under pressure and highly adaptable to fluid situations
- Strong, polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to build real relationships with clients
- Clear communicator who is easy to work with and handles strong personalities professionally
- Sound judgment, professionality, and complete discretion with confidential matters
- Open & receptive to feedback and quick to implement
Preferred/Nice to Haves
- Prior work experience or background in sports, entertainment, talent representation, sales, recruiting, or another client-facing field is a plus
- Passion for the sport of basketball and/or tennis
Additional Role Details
This full-time role is open only for our NY office; in-person attendance is required immediately upon hiring. Occasional travel is expected of this role.
