As our Business Marketing Manager, you are Armstrong Business’s dedicated marketer, the single owner of how we win and grow commercial customers. This is a full-stack, full-funnel role: you do it all for the business line of business, from brand and demand generation to the website, lead generation, sales enablement, and retention, for customers ranging from the local shop on Main Street to multi-site, enterprise, and wholesale accounts. You report to the Director of Marketing and partner day to day with our VP of Commercial Services, acting as the marketing engine behind the business team’s growth targets. As our Business Marketing Manager, you are Armstrong Business’s dedicated marketer, the single owner of how we win and grow commercial customers. This is a full-stack, full-funnel role: you do it all for the business line of business, from brand and demand generation to the website, lead generation, sales enablement, and retention, for customers ranging from the local shop on Main Street to multi-site, enterprise, and wholesale accounts. You report to the Director of Marketing and partner day to day with our VP of Commercial Services, acting as the marketing engine behind the business team’s growth targets. What You’ll Do
Own Business Marketing End to End: Own the full-funnel marketing strategy and execution for Armstrong Business as a team of one, from awareness through acquisition, expansion, and retention.
Partner with the VP of Commercial: Work hand in hand with our VP of Commercial and the business sales team, translating their pipeline and revenue goals into marketing plans and acting as their embedded marketing partner.
Generate Business Demand: Build awareness and net-new demand among business decisionmakers, running paid search, LinkedIn, account-based marketing, and outbound to fill the commercial pipeline.
Own the Business Web Experience: Own Armstrong Business’s pages on .com, including the business serviceability and quote experience, lead-capture forms, and conversion paths that turn interest into qualified opportunities.
Drive Lead Generation & Nurture: Own lead capture, scoring, and nurture through marketing automation and email, defining the qualified business lead and handing sales a steady flow of sales-ready opportunities in Salesforce.
Enable the Sales Team: Arm the commercial team with the collateral they need to close, including pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, proposals, and vertical messaging.
Market the Business Product & Offers: Position Armstrong’s business products, including fiber internet, voice, TV, managed services, and wholesale services, and build the offers and campaigns that win against competitors.
Own Content & Thought Leadership: Produce business case studies, vertical content, and proof points that build credibility with commercial buyers and support discovery.
Run Events, Local & Channel Marketing: Represent Armstrong Business at trade shows, chambers of commerce, and local business organizations, and build referral and partner programs that generate leads.
Tailor by Segment & Vertical: Tailor messaging and campaigns to different business sizes, verticals, and wholesale partners, recognizing that a small business, a multi-site operator, an enterprise, and a wholesale carrier buy very differently.
Grow & Retain Accounts: Partner with sales and care to upsell and cross-sell existing business customers and reduce commercial churn.
Own the Data & Pipeline Reporting: Partner with Marketing Ops & Analytics and the commercial team to own business marketing’s data, and report on pipeline, sourced revenue, and ROI.
What You’ll Need
5+ years in B2B or commercial marketing, ideally in telecom, broadband, or another subscription business
A full-stack track record running demand generation, web, lead generation, sales enablement, and retention, comfortable operating as a team of one
Experience marketing to business decision-makers across SMB, mid-market, enterprise or multi-site, and wholesale accounts
Hands-on with marketing automation and CRM (e.g. HubSpot and Salesforce), paid search, LinkedIn, and account-based marketing
A strong partner to sales, with a history of building enablement and pipeline alongside a commercial team
A data-driven, pipeline- and revenue-oriented approach, comfortable owning a number
Comfort embracing emerging technology, including AI, to work more efficiently, for example for targeting, content, and lead scoring
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Bonus: telecom or fiber for business, wholesale or carrier marketing, vertical marketing, or ABM platforms
