The Regional Marketing Manager makes the global SUSONITY and regional marketing strategy
relevant, effective, and visible in the market.
Working closely with commercial, technical, supply chain, and global segment colleagues, this
position identifies regional trends, growth opportunities, customer needs, and application
potential to develop and execute a focused Coatings marketing plan.
The role supports Sales with compelling stories, campaigns, events, and tools; shares the voice
of the customer; contributes to the international Coatings team; and participates in cross-
functional Topic Teams to strengthen regional execution and global alignment.
Scope
- Create regional Coatings marketing strategy, plans, priorities, and budgets in line with
global segment objectives.
- Gather and report local market, customer, competitor, application, and trend intelligence;
provide a clear regional voice of the customer.
- Contribute to the international Coatings team and adapt global campaigns, blueprints,
tools, and intelligence to regional needs.
- Participate in cross-functional Topic Teams such as Branding & Design, Digital &
- Content, Market Intelligence, Sustainability, Events & Fairs, and Customer & End-User
- Marketing.
- Manage or coordinate regional website content, social media, PR, newsletters,
brochures, presentations, case studies, samples, and sales-enablement materials.
- Support trade fairs, webinars, customer events, and workshops together with Sales and
technical colleagues, including follow-up and performance measurement.
- Connect direct chemical customers with relevant end users, including OEMs, brand
owners, designers, formulators, and processors, to strengthen pull marketing.
- Provide structured feedback to Global Marketing and regional segment leads; share best
practices and ensure consistent brand, sustainability, and claim governance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Chemistry, Coatings Technology, or a related
field (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education).
- 5+ years of marketing, sales, product marketing, business development, and/or business
analytics experience, preferably in a B2B chemicals, pigments, or coatings environment.
- Strong knowledge of the Coatings and pigments market, including applications,
customer value chains, trends, and competitive landscape.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and project-management skills with the ability to turn market
information into clear priorities and actions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
across an international matrix organization.
- Experience developing and executing marketing plans, campaigns, customer events,
tradeshows, sales-enablement activities, and market research.
- Experience with budgets, forecasting, business analytics, KPI reporting, and stakeholder
management.
- Close collaboration with marketing, technical, commercial, supply chain, product
management, R&D, regulatory, and communications colleagues.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of computer-based work and the ability to maintain focus across
multiple priorities.
- Ability to interact with others consistently and daily across functions, regions, and time
zones.
- Ability to work outside standard business hours to support international Coatings
projects and global team meetings.
- Ability to travel approximately 25%, domestically and internationally to support,
customers, attend tradeshows and workshops, and participate in team activities.
